The Legend of the "EAGLES" Fan

For decades now the National sports media has turned the Philadelphia fan into some kind of monster – devoid of a soul. Booing Donovan McNabb on draft day, Fighting with Clinton Portis’s Mom, Booing old St.Nick. We’ve heard em all. Haven’t we? That crazy – Eagles fan is at it again. Well I’m here to breakdown what EAGLES fans are really like by giving you the Philadelphia Eagles Demographic Breakdown:

Ladies and Gentlemen: The Philadelphia Eagles

After a bittersweet football weekend where my Ohio State Buckeyes won in Iowa, and my Cincinnati Bengals lost to the Patriots, I was hoping that Monday night would be the best game of the week.  Well, it wasn’t exactly the best game but the result couldn’t have been better for the Philadelphia Eagles who defeated the Packers 31-9.  It might have been the Packers but the Eagles are slowing showing their former selves.

Friday Free For All: "Invincible" movie review

As a service for the Sportscolumn community, I went to the 11:30 AM showing of Invincible today. Who am I kidding, if I wasn’t going to write a review for SC, I’d have seen the 2:30 showing anyway. As an Eagles fan, I am obligated to see the movie. What’s the population of the Delaware Valley? 6 million people? Multiply by $9… Invincible is guaranteed to bring in at least $50M just from the Philly area alone.

McNabb’s Race Card Pulled at Bad Time

Despite my instinct to avoid the subject, I can’t help calling out a blatant misuse of the race card by one Donovan McNabb, quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles. Amid the 24-hour hype of Super Bowl XL on ESPN, McNabb reared his ugly (and oversized) head on SportsCenter with a hypocritical, one-sided analysis of his feud with Terrell Owens.

McNabb’s flaws coming to light

He is one of the classiest guys in the NFL.  He’s had one of the best winning percentages in the league since he became a starter.   He’s one of the superstars of the league. He’s the best quarterback in Philadelphia Eagles history. He shrugs off controversy and always says the right thing.  So what’s wrong with McNabb?  He just isn’t a leader, no matter how many times he tells you he is.

Phuneral Procession

By: Jon Morrill

The 2005 Philadelphia Eagles were pronounced dead late Monday Night; after being found in their snow covered home at Lincoln Financial Field in South Philadelphia after being on life support for months.

T.O. makes Niners look like smartest team in NFL

The San Francisco 49ers were once a storied football franchise with five shining Vince Lombardi trophies in their collection. Since the late 1990s, however, the 49ers ownership has made numerous unintelligent decisions, transforming their dynasty into the laughingstock of the league. However, despite all the criticism the 49ers deserve for their failures, they did one thing right: they traded Terrell Owens to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Breaking News: TO suspension upheld

Update: So much for the credibility of Newsday. The arbitrator ruled that TO’s suspension was fair and that the Eagles have a right to deactivate him. I wish he had used the word “Keyshawn”.

Original report:
Here in cold, cold Philadelphia, we are hearing that TO’s four game suspension will be reduced by the arbitrator. More to come.

Newsday is reporting that the Eagles will release Owens. This report is highly suspicious and seems to be complete conjecture.

T.O. finally turned off

Finally, someone said that enough was enough when it comes to Terrell Owens. Bravo to Andy Reid and the entire Philadelphia Eagles organization for pulling the plug on the wide receiver. Regardless of talent, this is definitely an addition by subtraction.
