Who is Winston Justice?

By Rob LaBrie

Winston Justice is the best offensive tackle in the upcoming draft. He’s going to dominate in the NFL, much like he did in the combine and on the USC pro day. He’s bigger and faster than anyone else.  Justice is also the most athletic tackle in the draft and clearly has top ten talent.  He has a pretty face and he’s much better than D’Brickshaw Ferguson in pretty much every way you could imagine. He even has a cooler name than D’Brickshaw. All of this is true. If you don’t believe me, just ask him… he’ll tell you all about it.

Inside Out: It’ll take more than Bush to make the Texans Competitive

Reggie may be the Consensus number one, but that doesn’t mean that he should be drafted first-at least not by the Texans.

2006 NFL Mock Draft

by Trevor Freeman

With the NFL Draft exactly two weeks away, Reggie Bush is getting ready to hear himself get compared with Gale Sayers approximately 1,657 times and Matt Leinart is praying that New Orleans doesn’t draft him.  Drew Rosenhaus is readying himself to say “my client wants a $15 million dollar signing bonus” and Mel Kiper is pitching a tent.  The “do I watch the draft at home or go out and get wasted” decisions are being made.  Some might say I’m crazy, but I prefer watching the NFL and NBA Draft to watching a regular season game.  There’s just something about the combination of pro and college that makes for riveting television.

Reggie Bush the Next Antonio Gates

By David J. Cohen

The entire football world knows Reggie Bush. He is the most elusive player in the draft. He is the most promising player to come into the draft since the turn of the millennium. He is constantly compared to Gale Sayers and Barry Sanders for his effortless change of direction and vision of the football field. All of this stems from his ability as a runner. It all comes from the fact that you hold your breath every time Reggie Bush touches the ball, because you know he can score at any time.

Lament for Barry Sanders

Barry Sanders retired from the NFL on July 28th, 1999.  He was just 1457 yards short of the career rushing record.  This opened the door for Emmitt Smith to capture the record in 2002.  Oh, the injustice!

Coaching Salary Cap?

There is a salary cap for players in the NFL and I think everyone agrees that it works to promote parity.  However, there are no rules to prevent teams from spending freely on coaching staffs.  Does this give them an unfair advantage?

Buckle Up for the Wild Ride That Is the AFC East Offseason

In the past, the NFL has lagged behind sports like baseball and hockey when it comes to the activity that occurs in the offseason.  There weren’t many trades or many free agent signings.  In fact, the most activity was coaches for bolting for new teams and new surroundings.  Those days are gone, and the NFL is now experiencing a free agency period that parallels (and perhaps passes) that of baseball.

Much activity has occurred this offseason, and some teams will be enjoying seasons that surpass those of seasons past.  The most dramatically changed division, thus far, is the AFC East, where the Patriots may have their work cut out for them.

If you are a fan of a team in the AFC East, put your seat belt on and enjoy the ride that is the offseason in this wild division.
