I’m sick of hearing about the New England Patriots. Don’t get me wrong, I love the way they play. Hell, I love everything about them. I hope and pray Tom Brady shatters the touchdown mark. But enough, already. And forget about the Indianapolis Colts. I’m tired of hearing about the greatness of Tony Dungy or the execution and finesse of Peyton Manning. And don’t even get me started on the star on the rise; Joseph Addai.(Mostly because Chris Berman and his stupid “to live and let” nickname)Because, honestly, it’s gotten very repetitive and boring. Since no one else cares about anything except the winner of the AFC championship game, I’m going to go out on a limb and talk about the best team not being talked about. The best team that isn’t from New England or Indianapolis. I’m going to talk about the Green Bay Packers.

Week 10 NFL Power Rankings
After all the hype and promotion, the “Super Bowl 41 and a half” is over and done with. But what new information is there? What can we take from that game and all the other games of this past weekend to further evaluate this league, and ultimately predict the team that will stand above the rest? The following 32 observations will at least help.
32 Observations: NFL Power Rankings
With every writer giving their opinion on each team, and why or why not they’re living up to expectations, I felt forced to give mine as well. Yes, the Packers are going to the playoffs, and yes, the Chargers are as bad as they look. Want to find out more? just continue reading.
The Trade Heard Round the World
He was a poor GM before this trade, and he’s a poor GM after this trade. Danny Ainge has dug his own grave.
True, the “Big Three” could and very well might overpower the Eastern Conference enroute to an NBA Finals birth. However, there are still so many questions facing the Boston Celtics. Not just right now, but in their not so distant future.
The Plague
Is anyone else sick of hearing about high profile players getting arrested or having allegations thrown at them? I know I am. And the worst part is not the inability of these “naturally good hearted guys” to stay away from trouble, or whether or not they can apologize effectively enough for us to forget it all, but more, our eagerness to allow it to continue.
Redick’s Star
Enough about his Duke career. No more talk about his injuries. Forget about his lack of playing time as a rookie. After showcasing his talent in this year’s summer league, J.J Redick has proven he deserves his chance to play in the NBA.
If Greg Oden can accumulate more fouls than points in his only games in the summer league and still be a probable starter, then Redick deserves the same vote of confidence.
The Open Market
Boy, the NBA doesn’t rest, does it? First the NBA Finals, then the Draft, and now free agency is well under way. Not too far after we’ll actually be seeing the younger guys in action in summer leagues, and then only a few months before it all starts over again. But hold your horses. We’re still in the free agency phase, and there’s still a lot of work to do. So here is who’s left, and where I think they’ll be going:
Fantasy Rankings
It’s July, everybody. So, that means fireworks, jubilation, and well, that it’s almost August. Which means the NFL season is inching that much closer, and your preparation for your fantasy football draft probably has you pulling hair out or paying that much more attention to ESPN News. Here’s a quick look at the top 10 players at each offensive position going into your draft, as well as 5 sleepers for each position. I know how hard it is to prepare, much less actually draft a solid team. So here are the guys that have the lowest amount of risk, the highest amount of reward, and some damn good reasons why.
Rookie Rankings
The following are the players in this year’s draft that will have the biggest impact in 2007 NBA season. The top 5 guys will be the most likely for rookie of the year contention, and the remaining 10 will be huge components of the season, showing that this year’s draft will go down as one of the deepest in quite some time.
The Perfect Situation
Everyone knows second round picks in the NBA Draft are no sure things. They don’t have guaranteed salaries, and they damn sure don’t have a guaranteed roster spot. Each second round player has to earn his stripes in summer league action and show his team he was worth the pick, and more, that he’s worth keeping around.
