Every once in awhile in sports, a truly atrocious division will rear its ugly head. For example, in baseball this year’s National League West was considered a joke. The San Diego Padres in the playoffs was an embarrassment for Major League Baseball. Similarly, this seasons NFC North appears to be one of the worst divisions football has ever seen. From wild sex parties, to injuries, and continuous quarterback controversies; winning is not on the radar.

Another confusing week in the NFL. Indy remains at #1 with a decisive victory over the Rams but after that, it’s mostly a crapshoot. Is Tampa Bay really a top 5 team? How do you factor in the loss of Brian Griese? Does Pittsburg losing without Roethlisberger mean anything? Here are your power rankings for Week 6.

Ok folks. We’re sorry. We let you down last week. We were like the Eagles in Dallas. We were like the sequels to the Matrix. We were like last Foo Fighters album. We were like Tim Couch’s entire NFL career. We were like… well, you get the point. If we don’t do better this week, we’ll have monkeys picking the games next week by throwing feces at a board.

I am disgusted with the NFC. No one wants to step into the driver’s seat. The three top teams in the NFC all lost and only Atlanta had a “quality” loss. The fact that we’re talking about quality losses saddens me more than Katie Holmes selling her soul for better movie roles.
Meanwhile, Indy and Pitt continue to roll along, and New England makes a statement that you can never count them out. Here are your power rankings for week 5.

I know a lot is said about parity in the NFL but it seems like there are 10 good teams and everyone else falls somewhere in the middle. New England took quite a tumble this week with an embarassing loss to the Chargers. Meanwhile, how can you argue that a 4-0 team with a hot QB, a star WR and a balanced running attack (Cinci) is rated too high?

Last week was a bounce back week after a disappointing start. Overall, we went 40-16 or 71%. In contrast, the ESPN experts only got 64% right. We’re looking to stay hot this week so here we go with the week 4 lineup.

Another week of ups and downs in the Power Rankings as teams start to establish themselves. We clearly know the worst teams in the league. It’s the top ten that seems to change by the minute.

Like the Dallas Cowboys, we just want to pretend last week never happened. Nope. Those two bombs to Santana Moss never happened. Just like us picking the Lions. For shame.

Week 3 NFL Picks
Entering Week 3 of the NFL season, we are beginning to see some definitive trends. So many gurus talk about knowing a lot after Week 1, but often times the opening week is dominated by unbelievable surprises. I’m not saying that after two weeks anyone should be making Super Bowl reservations, but we certainly know a lot more this week than last. Such as…
