Umpire Woes Will Rest With MLB Operations

By Diane M. Grassi

As we embrace the initial games of the 2009 Fall Classic, otherwise known as the World Series, brought to you by Major League Baseball (MLB). Historically, it will be the latest start ever for a World Series, commencing October 28, 2009 and to possibly conclude as late as November 5, 2009, should a Game 7 be necessary.

But let us not digress, as there are more problems which should keep the minds of the brain trust of Major League Baseball, Inc. occupied, after a horrid conclusion, in the umpiring department, during the 2009 American League Division Series (ALDS), the National League Division Series (NLDS), the American League Championship Series (ALCS) as well as the National League Championship Series (NLCS).

Will MLB’s Latest Tech Disserve Game?

By Diane M. Grassi

As the end of the 2009 Major League Baseball (MLB) season approaches, technological advances, still in their infancy, were instituted in 2009, intended for the game’s future progress; that according to MLB.

Most fans, however, are probably unaware of the new computer technology, mandated by MLB, and its use throughout 2009, that will be precedent setting for seasons to come.

BASEBALL CAN’T AFFORD TO AVOID CHANGE ANY LONGER

Honestly, Major League Baseball is so stubborn when it comes to change, but that may be about to change.

A profession set so deep in its ways that a bitter woman is more prone to change her view of men.  Yeah, it is that bad especially when we live in an age where technological advances have made life easier.  Not just everyday living, but sports as well with the NFL, NBA and NHL, which have all implemented instant replay to get the call right.
