Rammer Jammer Yellow Hammer Saban’s at Alabama

So, Nick Saban’s at Alabama. People might call him a liar, a cheater, and everything else under the sun. I’m not going to rip on him, because his college coaching record, at 48-16, isn’t bad at all. He’s also won a National Championship in the toughest conference in the country, but now he’s going to a program still suffering from crippling NCAA recruiting sanctions only recently back to full strength.

So what can Saban can do to improve a program that’s doing its best to make Bear Bryant a distant memory?

Michigan vs Ohio State

Usually I’ll leave other people for superlatives, but for when two unbeaten teams, ranked #1 and #2 in the nation, get together for a game which virtually decides who’s going to the National Championship game in January, then I’m the first to say that it doesn’t get bigger than this. This is the big one…Michigan vs Ohio State.

What a Saturday…

In the 2006 college football season, this weekend was pretty much written off as a weekend where we had one or two big games, but nothing that should have shocked the pollsters.
But by God, it did.

Fantasy College Football

So, I got word yesterday from the NCAA that for a season, I was God. I, as commissioner for one week in the 2007 college football year, could match up the teams I wanted and they weren’t allowed to complain.
After I sent Notre Dame to Texas, I then stopped to think what might happen if I put SEC and Big Ten teams together. One thing’s for certain: must-see TV. Well, unless you hate SEC and Big Ten football….

Team USA- A non-American’s thoughts

I don’t agree with a lot of what Americans have been saying about London. I like the food, the way I’m spoken to, and the charming man who talks about Jesus with a microphone in Oxford Street.

Thanks for staying- Joe

Sure a lot of people hate him. At times, he’s an angry old man who chases Big Ten officials down and scolds them like a schoolchild. But a lot of people love him too. Alex Ferguson tries to look at 2005’s Coach of the Year, and work out why there’s a love affair at all.
