NHL Power Rankings for Nov 13 2006

Anahiem has been a busy team, making three trades this week. Stanislav Chistov went to Boston, Todd Fedoruk is back with the Flyers, and Colorado got a second round pick from the Ducks. The moves were done after they vaulted to number one in this weeks rankings, while the Sabres stand pat at number two. At the bottom, the Coyotes and Flyers still bring up the rear. Where does your team rank?

Comments
1 (3) 13-1-4
Teemu might lead the team in points, but Chris Kunitz leads the team in goals.
2 (2) 14-1-1
Second-best offense in the league still clicking.
3 (6) 13-5-2 Patrick Marleau and Joe Thornton are proving to be a deadly 1-2 punch.
4 (1) 12-4-0
They’re slipping a little, and that’s going to be bad news in the ultra-competitive Pacific division.
5 (7) 11-4-1
I still stand by my Nick Lidstrom pick. He leads the best defense in the league.
6 (5) 12-5-3
Marian Hossa leads the best offense in the league. Their defense isn’t half bad either.
7 (4) 11-5-0
Deadly power play and a spot-on defense has fans going Wild in the Land of 10,000 Lakes.
8 (9) 11-5-3
By far, they are the league’s hottest team. Mats Sundin looks like he’s wearing a Noriques uniform again, Darcy Tucker is keeping the gloves on, maybe they made the best move of the off-season, getting rid of Tie Domi.
9 (8) 10-4-1
Scottie Upshall has found the scoreboard and Chris Mason shuts out the Avs. Life is good in music city these days.
10 (18) 9-7-1
Vincent Lecavalier is red hot right now and Johan Holmqvist may just be the new number one in Tampa. Makes one wonder where Marc Denis ends up by the deadline.
11 (15) 9-6-3
Cam Ward is looking to shake off the sophmore jinx. Until then, they’re going to have to rely on a very strong offense.
12 (12) 8-4-3
Cristobal Huet is proving he’s a number one goalie, while David Aebischer should be traded to LA, beacuse it’s getting obvious that he needs Rob Blake to bail him out of every situation.
13 (22) 10-5-1
Now that Patrik Elias is finding the scoresheet, maybe the smoke and mirrors will go away.
14 (17) 9-7-1
Jaromir Jagr is just being Jaromir Jagr, and Brendan Shanahan looks like he did back in Montreal.
15 (14) 7-6-2
Depth is still hurting this team. Come March, it will be very obvious.
16 (11) 7-7-2
Goal support is key in this league and right now, the Avs just aren’t giving Theodore any.
17 (19) 7-5-4
Alexander Ovechkin is putting pucks in the net, but the defense really needs to step up.
18 (23) 7-7-2
The problem with Alex Tanguay is the simple fact he’s being used as a primary scorer while Jarome Iginla struggles. Also, the loss of Jordan Leopold is really hurting them on the defensive side of the puck.
19 (10) 7-6-2
They have fallen down to Earth, but remember, this is a very young team, they need to see if they can handle this.
20 (13) 8-9-1
Roberto Luongo has no support on either side of the puck.
21 (16) 6-9-1
Senators are slowly waking up, but it might not be in time to save Muckler’s job.
22 (20) 7-6-2
The Islanders are doing it with defense. Not goaltending, just defense.
23 (21) 4-7-2 Olli Jokinen is the only one getting things done in Florida, he cannot be a one man team.
24 (28) 6-9-1
Hawks might be in some serious trouble with Bourque out of the line up.
25 (26) 5-10-4
If it wasn’t for the Flyers and Coyotes, they would be the worst team in the league without question.
26 (24) 5-8-3
Dennis Wideman has been a very nice surprise for the Blues.
27 (27) 5-7-2
Dumbest move of the week: Brian Finley called up to Boston, Hannu Toivonen sent down. I’m still trying to figure this one out.
28 (27) 5-9-1
Gilbert Brule has been a complete bust for the Jackets this season.
29 (29) 4-10-0
When Mike Comrie is your leading scorer, you’re in trouble. Where is JR?
30 (30) 3-11-2
Paul Holmgren’s interim tag has been removed, giving the Flyers some stability, but they are still painful to watch.
