1 (2) 6-1
Now that Kirilenko is out with an injury, there will be nobody on
the floor for the Jazz that is not playing up to their full potential.
2 (4) 5-1
I asked who Fabricio Oberto was before the season started, and now I
know exactly who he is.
3 (6) 5-1
They will have a showdown with the #1 Jazz on Tuesday after
taking down New Orleans on Sunday night.
4 (3) 4-2
LeBron is getting help from a surging Drew Gooden,
suddenly averaging a double-double.
5 (5) 4-3
With Kobe still adjusting, the world is getting an
introduction to Andrew Bynum.
6 (20) 5-2
Yao Ming is suddenly looking like what he was hyped up to be.
7 (17) 3-2
Vince Carter is on fire and Jason Kidd is still piling up
triple-doubles as the Nets once again sit atop the Atlantic.
8 (14) 3-3
Back on track after their quick letdown, Ben Gordon is coming
to be the scoring leader of this team.
9 (15) 3-3
While they look like champions at times, sometimes they just look
old, like as Shaq stood and watched Yao Ming grab rebounds.
10 (26) 4-2
A surprise upstart team hot on the tail of the Clippers in the Pacific.
11 (22) 2-4
They have picked up a couple wins, but still seem to be
searching for a groove.
12 (28) 4-3
Maybe Nellie’s plan is working, or maybe Baron Davis just
had a good week.
13 (1) 4-3
Chris Paul has not been as explosive as the Hornets have all
of a sudden dropped three in a row.
14 (18) 4-3
Amazingly, this jailhouse gang is playing as a team. Jamaal
Tinsley is averaging six assists a game, and Al Harrington
is putting up 19 points a night.
15 (8) 3-4
Rasheed Wallace is grabbing 9 rebounds a game to lead the
team, but that is a dramatic difference from Ben Wallace.
16 (11) 4-2
You have to give the Hawks props. They still have a winning
record and are leading their division.
17 (13) 2-5
Amare is starting to get some spring back into his step on the
court, but until he is full strength, Mike D’Antoni has got to
get his club to play some D.
18 (19) 4-3
Grant Hill and Carlos Arroyo were not the top names coming into
the season, but if they keep it up to go with Dwight Howard and
Jameer Nelson, this team can fly past the Hawks.
19 (16) 3-3
Gilbert Arenas needs an inside presence to take this team to
the next level.
20 (12) 4-3
Jarrett Jack and Zach Randolph are working together and
the Blazers are holding onto a winning record.
21 (9) 3-3
Sitting at number two in the Atlantic, they will have to
fight through a Western road trip to stay in sight of the Nets.
22 (27) 3-4
Ray Allen and Company have played nothing but close games,
and they finally came out on top of one against Atlanta.
23 (10) 2-4
The Kevin Garnett must quickly turn into a variety act for
this team to get their head back above water.
24 (23) 2-3
They have won two in a row, but back to back road games at
Miami and Orlando is not a good place to keep a win streak.
25 (7) 2-5
Michael Redd really could not do anything more for this
team and they still cannot put enough out there to win.
26 (24) 1-4
The continuing coming out party of Hakim Warrick has not
been able to get the Grizzlies many wins.
27 (25) 2-4
Losing to the Hawks is not as embarrassing as it used to
be, but it is still not an acceptable excuse.
28 (29) 1-5
Moved up only by another team’s failure, but they did manage
a win on a last second shot by Delonte West. They also fought
hard against Cleveland.
29 (21) 1-5
This team actually seems to be underachieving with their draft
picks finally all playing together to no avail.
30 (30) 2-5
They have two wins, but beating Denver does not count for quite
as much anymore.
