Has Larry Brown Lost the Knicks?

The New York Knicks are in some trouble. Kobe Bryant got the rebound off of a Channing Frye three and now Bryant is hustling down court with the basketball in his hands like there’s no tomorrow. But, wait. All of a sudden Jamal Crawford comes up behind Bryant and swats the ball away, but then underrated newcomer Smush Parker picks up the ball and jams the dunk. Ah, same old, same old. Kind of what the Knick’s season has been like. Down, up…..down.New York got exactly what they were hoping for this year: Larry Brown. The Knicks felt that they would be a better team with the addition of Brown as their new head coach. That hasn’t exactly worked. The Knicks got off to a rocky start, but then started winning games after a little while. Well, guess what? It’s back to the Rockies for New York…again.

What is really wrong with this team? Are they too young are they too old, well we know their not too old. In a game last week, Brown was ejected, the first time this year in a loss to the Lakers. I mean if you look at what he did to Detroit. He went into that system, and made those guys into champions, gave them the thought and the mentality that they could win in this league.

And the one very important thing that they had to do in order for that to happen was listening. They obviously had to make some sort of connection with each other in order for them to win games.

The Knicks are a very young team with potential. They CAN win ball games in this league. Compare LeBron James with Channing Frye. James got his team to the playoffs in his rookie season because he listened to what Paul Silas, the head coach for Cleveland at the time, had to say. Frye and the rest of the Knicks are doing what they want, when they want and that’s not working. They have to move the ball around on offense make opportunities for themselves. With the newly acquired veteran, Jalen Rose, the team will definitely get in some wins.

But the rest of the crew has to listen to what Brown is doing. Make equal contributions in your own way to help the cause of the team and make them into winners witch is what they need to be thinking right now.

In my opinion they need to get rid of Stephon Marbury who shoots the ball too much and thinks a lot of himself. Jamal Crawford can be the one to carry this club to new hights. He passes the ball and makes sure that equal contributions are made. My favorite Knick player, though, is Nate Robinson. Just his athleticism and willingness to play and get the feel for the NBA, it’s very noticeable when you’re a rookie in this league. He is going to the slam dunk contest which is just amazing. He doesn’t have height but oh boy can jump!

So that’s my message to Larry Brown and the Knicks.

After all you know what they always say.
Just LISTEN to teacher.
