Last week was one of the best weeks we’ve ever had at Sportscolumn with the crew going 80%. Not too shabby eh? Is the NFL that predictable straight up? Maybe… but we still like to celebrate our picking prowess.

Locks of the Week
Guru Ganu: I guess my blind lock last week of Denver wasn’t very good. This week, my pick is slightly more informed. I’m going with the Vikings (-7.5) vs the Bears. If the season for Chicago wasn’t bad enough, the Bears are bringing back Jeff George, who might be remembered as the QB with the most talent who failed miserably but somehow being a starter on a bunch of teams.
Mile High: Mike Vick and company travel to Tampa Bay this week. The Falcons (+1) are on a roll now. Crump-daddy has his contract and he is certainly clicking with Vick. Duckett has been stepping up his play and the Atlanta D is playing up to their potential. They are out to prove that their 9-2 record is no fluke. Tampa Bay only has pride to play for, but Griese is dinged up, so I look for Atlanta to win this one.
Vegas Vinny: Right now, Bills fans are all upset at me because I said their team was playing spoiler and looking ahead to next year. I expect the Bills to do well the rest of the season against a bunch of doormats (except Pittsburg) but the AFC is just too tough for them to make it to the postseason. Sometimes people can’t handle the truth. This week, they go up against the Dolphins who looked decent last week but that was against the Niners. On top of that, the Bills are only giving up 3.5 pts? Bank this one.
Mr. X: Seattle started out the season as a popular pick to reach the Super Bowl but last week they looked more like a rebuilding team than a contender. Nevertheless, they are going up against a terrible Dallas team and they are pissed off. I will take the SEAHAWKS and give the 7 points.
