NFL Week 8 Picks October 30 2005

Beating the ESPN experts is becoming pretty commonplace around here. Even though we were dragged down by Trevor’s 8-6 record, we managed to beat ESPN with a total of .696 vs their .640. Also, Boston Mac was able to get higher than anyone else with a 12-2 record. This week, it’s either Teri or Vegas Vinny’s turn.

NFL Power Rankings Week 7 – October 25 2005

A little shakeup at the top as the NFC shows they aren’t the JV conference everyone made them out to be. Meanwhile, former AFC darlings Cincinnati drop in the rankings due to poor showing in “statement” game. Here are you power rankings for week 7.

Once again we beat the ESPN experts, going a combined .778 vs their .694. If you went with Trevor’s picks last week (12-2), you probably won your office pool. We’re looking to continue the trend this week. Here are your week 7 picks.

NFL Power Rankings Week 6 – October 18 2005

Another confusing week in the NFL. Indy remains at #1 with a decisive victory over the Rams but after that, it’s mostly a crapshoot. Is Tampa Bay really a top 5 team? How do you factor in the loss of Brian Griese? Does Pittsburg losing without Roethlisberger mean anything? Here are your power rankings for Week 6.

Ok folks. We’re sorry. We let you down last week. We were like the Eagles in Dallas. We were like the sequels to the Matrix. We were like last Foo Fighters album. We were like Tim Couch’s entire NFL career. We were like… well, you get the point. If we don’t do better this week, we’ll have monkeys picking the games next week by throwing feces at a board.

NFL Power Rankings Week 5 – October 11 2005

I am disgusted with the NFC. No one wants to step into the driver’s seat. The three top teams in the NFC all lost and only Atlanta had a “quality” loss. The fact that we’re talking about quality losses saddens me more than Katie Holmes selling her soul for better movie roles.

Meanwhile, Indy and Pitt continue to roll along, and New England makes a statement that you can never count them out. Here are your power rankings for week 5.

NFL Power Rankings Week 4 – October 4th 2005

I know a lot is said about parity in the NFL but it seems like there are 10 good teams and everyone else falls somewhere in the middle. New England took quite a tumble this week with an embarassing loss to the Chargers. Meanwhile, how can you argue that a 4-0 team with a hot QB, a star WR and a balanced running attack (Cinci) is rated too high?

NFL Week 3 Power Rankings September 27 2005

Another week of ups and downs in the Power Rankings as teams start to establish themselves. We clearly know the worst teams in the league. It’s the top ten that seems to change by the minute.
