Week 7 might have been this year’s craziest for the NFL. A 62 yard field goal on the final play of the game? A 31-13 home loss for a team that went 10-0 on their turf in 2005? A win for the Raiders? What’s going on with the NFL? There are some questions that can be answered though. Here they are:

Past- Present- and Future
The New York Jets are surpassing everyone’s expectations. In many ways they are probably surpassing their own. They have had more than a forgiving schedule and at 4-3 after seven games it only gets better. Right now not only is this season looking promising but their future is as well.
After the Jets basically traded Edwards to Kansas City, Jets fans felt that they were going to be the bottom feeders in the NFL. But Eric Mangini is not willing to accept being a bottom feeder

10 Questions About the NFL: Week 7
It was a strange way to end a strange week. In a set of NFL games that saw three teams get their first win this season, it appeared that one of two unbeatens was about to taste defeat. But the Cardinals collapsed as they always do, and the Bears escaped Glendale at 6-0. How long will the Bears stay undefeated? What’s wrong in Kansas City? And are the Raiders the worst team of all time? Here are this week’s 10 Questions:

After a bittersweet football weekend where my Ohio State Buckeyes won in Iowa, and my Cincinnati Bengals lost to the Patriots, I was hoping that Monday night would be the best game of the week. Well, it wasn’t exactly the best game but the result couldn’t have been better for the Philadelphia Eagles who defeated the Packers 31-9. It might have been the Packers but the Eagles are slowing showing their former selves.
2006 NFL Week 5 Picks
Last week we went a combined 35-21, a win percentage of .625. For the first time all season, we did not beat the ESPN experts who got a combined .641. The top scorer for the fourth straight week was Vegas Vinny with 10 correct.
We’re also going to let the weekly winner of the Sportscolumn pickem contest pick the games as well. Week 3’s winner was PMD with 12 correct and his picks for this week are included below.
There is no podcast this week but we’ll return next week.
Giant Devastation
Are the Giants for real? Are they capable of going “all the way”? Do they possess enough weapons to represent the NFC East in the playoffs? Well…do they?
Not exactly. It could be the fact that they were thrown under the bus before the 06′ campaign, when they realized they would have one of the hardest schedules in the league, besides the Bengals. A shock? Ahhhh, maybe not. The Giants are highly capable of beating any team in the league, but it just won’t happen. Considering the Giants D is simply an obliteration, with a non-existent LaVar Arrington, and for that fact, a non-existent linebacker core, the schedule is even more an enemy than ever.
First Things First
Think your favorite team can lose early and still win the Super Bowl? Don’t bet on it.
