Don’t suspend Moulds- extinguish Mularkey

By Sean Quinn

Mike Mularkey’s plan backfired. Actually, it was more of a back draft. Rusted-out Ford Pintos backfire, but the second-year head coach’s unwarranted suspension of veteran Eric Moulds did something far worse – it didn’t fire up his team, instead, it engulfed and burned the soon-to-be former Buffalo Bills head coach.

And rightfully so.

Defense needs to carry The Bills- not the Quarterback

It’s a relatively simple formula that many NFL teams use:  an inexperienced Quarterback that plays efficient mistake-free games, a defense that forces turnovers, a powerful running game, and solid special teams play.

No, I’m not talking about the 6-3 Chicago Bears, who have perfected this formula so far this year, and are on their way to a home-field playoff game.  This was supposed to be the game plan for the Buffalo Bills in 2005.  That’s what Tom Donahoe, Mike Malarkey, and the rest of the Bills organization sold the fans but abandoned after only four weeks.

Hunter Kelly provides hope and will remain a Hero

By: Sean Quinn

If you like hope refer to the 2004 Boston Red Sox.  If you like miracles refer to the 1980 U.S. Hockey Team.  The miracle of hope, though, can’t be found in any sports arena or stadium.  It can’t be found in any athlete or come from any performance-enhancing drug.  The miracle of hope can only be found in blessed individuals.  And no miracle has ever seen so much hope as in the heart and spirit of Hunter Kelly.

Blame Bledsoe- it’s that simple

By Sean Quinn

It’s about winning and losing and Drew Bledsoe can no longer win.

Even though the season is over for the Buffalo Bills and they have returned to their customary form of watching yet another NFL post season from the comfy confines of their couches, the criticizing and questioning has just begun. The first name on the list is Drew Bledsoe. And rightfully so.

All we want for Christmas is a playoff spot

By Sean Quinn

IPod’s are hot this Christmas. So is Beyonce. But you’d be hard pressed to find anything hotter right now than the Buffalo Bills. Well, maybe a “Tickle Me Elmo,” but the fact still remains, all anyone in Western New York really wants for the holidays is a playoff spot. And with AFC teams being cleared out of the Bills path like snow off of a Buffalo interstate, every Bills fan has a reason to be tickled about something.
