Lately, there has been a lot of debate on who is the best player on the Miami Heat. I’m here to say love them or hate them, Shaquille O’Neal and Dwayne Wade need each other, and the two, together, have made this season such a success for that team and they will push the team through the playoffs towards the NBA championship.
If you look around the locker room of the Boston Celtics, you’ll find a number of young faces. None is easier to spot than 2nd year Center Kendrick Perkins. Perkins, 20, is the definition of a man-child, at 6’10” and 280 lbs. While he is currently a reserve, big things are expected from the big man from Texas in the not-too-distant future. We had a chance to sit down with Perkins and talk about refs, his unbelievable work ethic, and getting respect from the officials:

Before I get started………yes I know I am the same guy who penned “25 Reasons why the NCAA trumps the NBA”. However I am a basketball fan. I think basketball is the finest sport on the planet and I believe this year’s NBA season has been the best one in the past five years. That is why I am writing this piece, as I would like to encourage all of you to watch the NBA playoffs. “40 games in 40 nights” has already gotten off to a great start and should only get better. Here are ten storylines/reasons why you should be watching the NBA Playoffs in reverse order.

As an NBA sportswriter, I already know everything there is to know about hoops. In order build my ego up even more, I decided to go look at some of my predictions about the league in my NBA preview. As stated above, I am always right about basketball, making some of these preseason observations a little odd. Hey, some of them were spot on. But others…yuck!
Lately there’s been a lot of talk about changing the age limit to enter the NBA. The idea is to move the age limit from 18 to 20 years of age, and the reason for all this arguing is Jermaine O’Neal’s comments. Jermaine says it’s racist, when it’s really about business.
You either like him or have complete disdain for him. Like him or not, shouldn’t Denver Nuggets coach George Karl be Coach of the Year?

When someone gets what he or she wants, they are usually satisfied. In the case of Kobe Bryant, this theory may not be so true. People for three things best know Bryant. He was first known for being Shaq’s sidekick for seven years, and producing three championships. Second, people who aren’t avid basketball fans know him for his incident in the infamous Colorado hotel room. Lastly, people know Kobe Bryant for his decision to run two of the biggest names in the history of basketball out of Los Angeles. All of things Kobe have brought on himself, and two of these Kobe probably wishes he could take back.
This year’s race for MVP is as close as it gets. With players like Shaquille O’Neal, Dirk Nowitzki, Allen Iverson, Steve Nash, and Lebron James all putting up big numbers for their teams, it’s a very controversial call. It’s so close that even the last five or so games for each team may play a part in it.
