1 (1) 31-11-3
The only thing that can stop the Sabres is this off-season, both Daniel Briere (points and assists leader) and Chris Drury (goals leader) are pending UFAs.
2 (3) 31-11-3
Kimmo Timonen is deservedly back on the All-Star roster this year. He’s also looking strong for a Norris run.
3 (2) 30-9-8 Four of their nine losses this season have come since the calendar changed to 2007.
4 (4) 30-15-0 Patrick Marleau has been leading the way for the Sharks this year nearly averaging a point per game.
5 (5) 28-12-5 Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg are reunited, and for the Wings, it feels so good.
6 (6) 27-14-4
Martin Brodeur was named to the All-Star team, in other news, grass is green, the sky is blue.
7 (7) 26-18-1
Apparently, Marty Turco thinks the playoffs started, 1-7-1 in his last nine starts.
8 (9) 25-15-5 David Aebischer finally has a good outing, after Cristobal Huet gave up six goals on twenty-five shots, Aebi made six saves on eight shots, oh, the Habs lost to the Sens 8-3.
9 (8) 24-14-8 Kari Lehtonen is the biggest All-Star snub for the East. 20 wins, 2.80 GAA, and .911 save percentage, guess they thought this team was nothing more past Hossa.
10 (11) 26-19-2
Talk about a tale of two seasons, the Senators has turned it on lately. This is contributed to Dany Heatley and Daniel Alfredsson, both of whom remembered they are both top-5 forwards in the league.
11 (10) 25-19-2 Another team who’s pretty much had two seasons, except there is one person to look at for them, Roberto Luongo.
12 (14) 24-15-4 Miikka Kiprusoff has found his game and Jarome Iginla has found the net again. The Flames will be scary good in the second half.
13 (13) 24-18-5 This is the team to watch in the second half of the season in the Eastern Confrence. Eric Staal is having a superb season, and everyone’s coming back from injuries. They may be too far behind the Thrashers to take the division, but expect them to get a four of five seed.
14 (16) 24-19-3 Brian Rolston gets to pack his bags for Dallas, but it’s Manny Fernandez who has gotten this team where they are.
15 (12) 23-19-4 Brendan Shanahan heads to Dallas, without Jagr, at Slats’ request.
16 (19) 23-21-2
Marc Denis finally had a good game.

Peter Budaj is heading to Dallas to play in the YoungStars game for the West, joining fellow Av Woltek Wolski.
18 (23) 21-19-4
2007 has seen the Islanders start 2-5.
19 (15) 20-18-4 Another team that 2007 has not been kinds to, the Bruins are 1-5 since the calendar turned. Tim Thomas has come back down to Earth, and that means the Bruins might be in trouble in the second half.
20 (18) 21-20-4 The Oilers have been near the top of this season’s disappointments. Ryan Smyth is the only guy worth making a positive mention.
21 (20) 20-20-6 The Leafs have had massive injury problems this season, but that could be changing soon, as three Leafs are set to return this week.
22 (21) 19-17-7 Evgeni Malkin will play in the NHL YoungStars game along with fellow Penguins Ryan Whitney and Jordan Staal. Oh yeah, and that Crosby guy will be starting for the East.
23 (22) 20-22-2 Yanic Perreault leads the team in goals, and he wasn’t signed until twleve games into the season.
24 (24) 19-19-7 Alexander Semin has been red hot lately for a struggling Caps team.
25 (28) 17-21-9
There is no return in sight for Todd Bertuzzi, which could affect the Panthers around the trade deadline.
26 (25) 17-22-6
Tuomo Ruutu finally broke his drought.
27 (29) 17-22-6 Bill Guerin is headed to the All-Star game, the only beam of light for this dismal club.
28 (26) 16-24-6
Yutaka Fukufuji becomes the first ever-Japanese player to make the NHL.
29 (27) 16-24-5 Injuries have taken their toll on this struggling club.
30 (30) 11-30-4 Ok, people, stop the Peter Forsberg trade rumors. He’s too much damaged goods to go somewhere. Face it, his career is pretty much over.
