Seattle’s strong showing on national television puts them #2 in the power rankings. Meanwhile, Pittsburgh and Dallas’ playoff hopes are fading and they are dropping in the standings. Jacksonville remains at #9 but they might be the only current top 10 team not to make the playoffs. Here we go with the complete Week 13 Power Rankings:
| Rank (Pv) | Team | Record | Comment |
| 1 (1) | ![]() |
12-0 | The best thing that can happen for the Colts is for Cinci and Denver to keep winning. Then they don’t have to answer the start or rest question. |
| 2 (3) | ![]() |
10-2 | It was a classic trap game: week after emotion win; flying across country; clinched the division even before they played; but the Seahawks showed they are championship caliber. |
| 3 (2) | ![]() |
9-3 | Denver has the inside track against Cinci for #2 seed with one less loss in the conference. Both teams have identical strength of schedule for 4 remaining games. |
| 4 (4) | ![]() |
8-4 | The second most dangerous team in the AFC now control their destiny but every game seems like a trap (Mia) or a must win (Ind, KC, Den). |
| 5 (6) | ![]() |
9-3 | With the Bears on a roll, does Lovie Smith really want to call out Kyle Orton? Especially with Rex Grossman recovering from his broken ankle? |
| 6 (11) | ![]() |
9-3 | Finally! A quality win. The only disappointing thing was not being able to see what Chad Johnson cooked up. |
| 7 (8) | ![]() |
8-4 | Win and control of NFC East masks yet another easy miss by Jay Feely. In the playoffs, your kicker needs to be clutch. Just ask the Jets. |
| 8 (10) | ![]() |
9-3 | They finally got the Vick Gorilla off their back holding him in check for the majority of the game. |
| 9 (9) | ![]() |
9-3 | Half full: impressive come from behind win. Half empty: had to do it against the Browns. |
| 10 (13) | ![]() |
8-4 | Despite win against Denver, they are still on the outside looking in as they lost head to head vs San Diego. And they have the hardest schedule remaining in the AFC. |
| 11 (12) | ![]() |
8-4 | Tampa Bay are the current #5 seed in the NFC but what an underwhelming performance by Chris Simms and company against a New Orleans team that gives up 24.6 ppg. |
| 12 (15) | ![]() |
7-5 | Richard Seymour called out the fans for not being noisy enough. Maybe the Pats can take a page from the Indy stadium playbook and pump up the volume. |
| 13 (5) | ![]() |
7-5 | After starting out 7-2, they probably won’t make the playoffs. This has never happened in the history of the Steelers. |
| 14 (7) | ![]() |
7-5 | Dallas needs to win 3 of the next 4 games to make the playoffs. KC, @Was, @Car, StL. |
| 15 (16) | ![]() |
7-5 | I can’t tell if it’s a joke or not but Mike Tice is being named on the short list of Coach of the Year candidates. |
| 16 (14) | ![]() |
7-5 | Atlanta’s spiral (lost 3 of last four, sole win against Det) has some fans wondering how TO would look in red and black. |
| 17 (17) | ![]() |
6-6 | Playoffs look out of reach for the Skins despite the reemergence of the run game. |
| 18 (21) | ![]() |
5-7 | Rosenfels directed 3 lenghty TD drives against a decent pass defense in the final quarter. I guess Frerotte era is done. |
| 19 (19) | ![]() |
5-7 | So much for the Fitzpatrick hype. Look for wholesale changes in the coaching staff at the end of this season. |
| 20 (18) | ![]() |
5-7 | This teams looks suspiciously like the one that quit on Rich Kotite in 1994. The only ones giving effort on the field last night were the cheerleaders. |
| 21 (20) | ![]() |
4-8 | Chances are Mike Mullarkey will be fired before the New Year. Happy Holidays! |
| 22 (25) | ![]() |
4-8 | Alquan Boldin has had 3 straight 100 yard games and Larry Fitzgerald is the youngest Cardinal to reach 1000 yards at WR. Looking forward to next season. |
| 23 (26) | ![]() |
4-8 | Boller does his best John Elway impression and wins the game. Still not the answer at QB. |
| 24 (22) | ![]() |
4-8 | Bending to players’ wishes, Norv Turner has decided to go with Tuiasosopo at QB. |
| 25 (23) | ![]() |
4-8 | Braylon Edwards is saying all the right things about coming back from his ACL injury. Let’s just hope no one gets him a motorcycle for Christmas. |
| 26 (24) | ![]() |
4-8 | What about Mike Martz in Detroit? He’ll have all the offensive weapons he covets. |
| 27 (27) | ![]() |
3-9 | Players are talking about illegal hits. Fisher is pissed off at the Manning fake play at the end of the half. I can’t wait till next year’s Colts-Titans game. |
| 28 (28) | ![]() |
3-9 | Just like in the Patriots game, Brooks throws an INT when the Saints were about to tie the game. Do the Saints have a succession plan at QB? |
| 29 (29) | ![]() |
2-10 | Alex Smith is still shutout for his career. |
| 30 (30) | ![]() |
2-10 | Remember how everyone thought it’d be great for Aaron Rogers to go to GB and get a mentor like Brett Favre? Well, turns out it was the worst thing for Rogers as he’ll never see the field because Sherman doesn’t have the stones to bench Favre. |
| 31 (31) | ![]() |
2-10 | I know players don’t ever play for draft picks but it sure seems like it. Bollinger (39.8 rating) is making no statement that the Jets shouldn’t draft Leinart. |
| 32 (32) | ![]() |
1-11 | They’ve made losing an art form. It’s quite spectacular really if you’re not a Texans fan. |
