There was no change in slots 1 through 11 this week and you’d think it’d make the Power Rankings easier to write. But how do you rank Buffalo at 4-6 if they just beat St. Louis at 5-5? Then you have the problem of a host of terrible teams all bunched up at 4-6 and 3-7. Is Tennessee better than Detroit? Who knows! Well, we’ll know in week 17 but you know what I’m getting at.

I woke up to a world I didn’t know
The nightmares were terrible. Images flashed. I could see a dank room, pressed uniform and bare skin.
Week 11 NFL Picks
Last week, despite some stinkers on the schedule, turned out to be a pretty good week to watch football. Gotta love those OT games even if they don’t go the way we thought.

Week 10 NFL Power Rankings
Wooo Boy! What a week in the NFL. There were a lot of hard decision to be made in this week’s power rankings — how good is Atlanta? Is Green Bay the third best team in the NFC? Can you make a case for New England as still the top team in the AFC? I’m hoping this week’s games start separating the wheat from the chaff.
Dispelling a Myth
Every year we hear from many NFL talking heads that rookie QBs are better off sitting their first year. Off the heels of Byron Leftwich’s success a season ago let’s see if we cannot dispel this myth.
Drew Bledsoe = Elaine Benes?
By Ryan McGowan
Let’s flash back around eleven years, to 1993. The Patriots, in their first year under Bill Parcells and Drew Bledsoe, finished 5-11, seven games behind the Buffalo Bills. The Red Sox finished 80-82, fifteen games behind the Blue Jays. The Celtics were eliminated by the Charlotte Hornets in four games, and Reggie Lewis died shortly thereafter. Only the Bruins were able to salvage some respectability, with a first place finish in the then-Adams Division. It wasn’t the best of times for Boston sports.
Week 10 NFL Picks
Last week was a tough week for us here at SC. We hovered right at .500 for the first time all season. Bills over Jets? Bears over Giants? Who knew. We promise to do better this week… unless of course, we don’t.

Week 9 NFL Power Rankings
What a week in the NFL. Things are so tightly bunched up in the upper third of the rankings that we don’t know what to make of it. Just when you think a team is approaching elite, they pitch some stinkers. And we don’t know whether San Diego and Seattle are for real. The bottom of the rankings aren’t much easier. Think about it, is Oakland better than New Orleans? Who knows? Who cares?
On Sunday, the Eagles got killed by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Just absolutely demolished. But when you turn on the television, you won’t get any insights into why the Eagles were beaten in every facet of the game. Instead, what you will be treated to is replay after replay of Terrell Owens jawing at McNabb on the sideline. The media has been waiting 8 weeks for this to happen, and by golly, they are the biggest rats.
Week 9 NFL Picks
So much for that ‘last home game for the Skins predicting the election’ trend. I guess if the Patsies could have their 21 game streak ended, the 16 election streak was bound to end as well.
