Their still, their still the same old Redskins from the block. Things were looking bright this year, a change from seasons past. A new and improved offense along with Greg Williams dominant defense looked like the formula for an NFC East Championship. However, the Redskins entered New York on Sunday and showed who they really are…

NFL Week 8 Picks October 30 2005
Beating the ESPN experts is becoming pretty commonplace around here. Even though we were dragged down by Trevor’s 8-6 record, we managed to beat ESPN with a total of .696 vs their .640. Also, Boston Mac was able to get higher than anyone else with a 12-2 record. This week, it’s either Teri or Vegas Vinny’s turn.

Where The Saints Went Wrong
As if New Orleans natives needed any more setbacks, they probably thought life couldn’t get any worse. It seems the Saints have likely played their last game in New Orleans. Tom Benson isn’t heartless. He isn’t moving the team to spite the people. It’s the reality of business. Benson needs individuals to show up at the game and buy tickets. But the population has decreased, and filling the Superdome seats would be a difficult task. But this franchise had problems before Hurricane Katrina.
A little shakeup at the top as the NFC shows they aren’t the JV conference everyone made them out to be. Meanwhile, former AFC darlings Cincinnati drop in the rankings due to poor showing in “statement” game. Here are you power rankings for week 7.
Woah! Where did they come from!?
This year’s New York Giants (and the entire NFC East) is on the up and up. At a respectable 3-2, the Giants are in second only to the Cowboys and have a great shot at the wild card and a good shot at the division.
NFL Week 7 Picks October 23 2005

The Dismal NFC North
Every once in awhile in sports, a truly atrocious division will rear its ugly head. For example, in baseball this year’s National League West was considered a joke. The San Diego Padres in the playoffs was an embarrassment for Major League Baseball. Similarly, this seasons NFC North appears to be one of the worst divisions football has ever seen. From wild sex parties, to injuries, and continuous quarterback controversies; winning is not on the radar.
Another confusing week in the NFL. Indy remains at #1 with a decisive victory over the Rams but after that, it’s mostly a crapshoot. Is Tampa Bay really a top 5 team? How do you factor in the loss of Brian Griese? Does Pittsburg losing without Roethlisberger mean anything? Here are your power rankings for Week 6.
The Long Season Ahead
The preseason hype surrounding the Baltimore Ravens was amazing. Many respected analysts even had the Ravens going to the Super Bowl. As a result of Jim Fassel being promoted to Offensive Coordinator, and Derrick Mason being brought in as a #1 receiver, the Ravens were supposed to put up points this season. However, after Week 5, the season may officially be over.
