Alex Ferguson looks at what made him happy, sad or emotionally unmoved after Week 6 of the college football season…
Upset Saturday. What a day. The question is is: What DIDN’T Impress, Depress or Unmove Alex Ferguson on Week 5 on the College Football season?
Dear Joe,
First off, I want to congratulate you on your 42nd year as head coach of Penn State and 58th overall. You have stood the test of times and even told NFL teams to look somewhere else because of your commitment to Penn State. You are the definition of class, on and off the field. You are a living legend with 366 career wins, second all time and you just happen to be at the ripe old age of 80.
It’s Round Three of my feelings on the third college football outing of the season….
The Model
With all the talk of the Plus-1 format being set up to determine college football’s National Champion, I thought I would try a different idea. This idea has almost no chance of working, since the Pac-10 and Big Ten conference commissioners have already stated that they will pull out of the Bowl Championship Series if the Plus-1 format or whatever number team playoff was implemented. My idea calls for all of the BCS conference champions and two wild card teams from non-BCS conferences to play it out for the title.
The Hall of Fame does not exist for people like Joe Paterno and Doug Flutie.
Yes, these people are great and outstanding and should be in the College Football Hall of Fame, but that isn’t the purpose.
I would know of Babe Ruth and Red Grange if I hadn’t seen their plaques at Cooperstown and Canton respectively. They don’t need to be memorialized.
We are……Virginia Tech
Just something I wrote on the Virginia Tech shootings. I wish I had more of an intro, but it was hard enough writing this….
So, Nick Saban’s at Alabama. People might call him a liar, a cheater, and everything else under the sun. I’m not going to rip on him, because his college coaching record, at 48-16, isn’t bad at all. He’s also won a National Championship in the toughest conference in the country, but now he’s going to a program still suffering from crippling NCAA recruiting sanctions only recently back to full strength.
So what can Saban can do to improve a program that’s doing its best to make Bear Bryant a distant memory?
Good Riddance Saban
When is it okay to lie? When would it be okay to lie over and over and seem offended by questions asked that bother you because of your lies? Well, I think the answer to both of those questions is NEVER. Nick Saban should have followed morals that he has in his life and follow what would be the “right” thing to do and he would have not been looked at and seen as a jerk, traitor, liar, and words that I would never write or print
