Only 3 NFC teams make the top 10 this week. The conference is there for the Seahawks to lose. And the AFC is tightening up with the sudden rise of the Patriots and the inconsistent play of the Bengals. Here are the week 17 Power Rankings.

NFL Week 16 Picks – December 25 2005
Is there any better early Christmas present than a whole slate of football games on Christmas Eve? What a great schedule.
Last week was a good week as most of us went 13-3 and only Trevor went 10-6. We’re looking to repeat that strong performance this week. Here we go with the Week 16 NFL picks.

There’s one thing the Colts and Texans have in common, they’re both consistent. The Colts have been riding the top spot since week 2 and the Texans have been in the cellar since week 5. One loss and one win shouldn’t change this.
I know it’s Christmas week but I couldn’t resist a couple of shots at Michael Vick. Perhaps it’s just my way of countering the slobbering by Joe Theisman on Sunday night.
NFL Week 15 Picks – December 18 2005
Some great games last week made the weekly picks more interesting. A respectable 70% correct last week (Dolphins over Chargers?!) but we’re looking to do better this week. Ryan is still running away with it and barring a monumental collapse like the ’64 Phillies, he will win the overall pick title. However, everyone else is tied for 2nd place at a .668 percentage.

NFL Week 14 Picks – December 11 2005
Last week was almost too easy — 54-10 (.844) overall, with Boston Mac leading the way at 15-1. We’re coming down to the wire and looking to finish strong despite the bad karma from Trevor’s comment on Stevie Wonder in the podcast.

Seattle’s strong showing on national television puts them #2 in the power rankings. Meanwhile, Pittsburgh and Dallas’ playoff hopes are fading and they are dropping in the standings. Jacksonville remains at #9 but they might be the only current top 10 team not to make the playoffs. Here we go with the complete Week 13 Power Rankings:
NBA Power Rankings vol 2 – Dec 1 2005
We’re about 1/5 of the way through the season, and the Clippers and Warriors continue to surprise us with their play. Meanwhile, the contenders in the east remain the same as on day 1: Miami, Detroit, Indiana and Cleveland. As we head towards the quarter pole, we’re looking for a couple of teams to establish themselves in the Atlantic and the Northwest.
Here we go with the power rankings. Questions, Comments, Gripes are all welcome.
NFL Week 13 Picks – December 4 2005
Last week, we went an incredible 51-13 (.797) overall, with Boston Mac leading the way at 14-2. We’re looking to continue that hot streak this week as the playoff races heat up.

Not much change in the Top 10 as teams ranked higher last week came out with victories. How can we drop Pittsburgh much for losing to the best team in the league? Furthermore, while Dallas and NY Giants should have won their games, the point is that they didn’t. Meanwhile, San Diego managed to pull their game out and move up in the standings. It’s unbelievable that a team this good might miss the playoffs. Those of you who enjoy painful football can check out the bottom of the rankings for your fix. Without further ado, here are your week 12 Power Rankings.
Update: So much for the credibility of Newsday. The arbitrator ruled that TO’s suspension was fair and that the Eagles have a right to deactivate him. I wish he had used the word “Keyshawn”.
Original report:
Here in cold, cold Philadelphia, we are hearing that TO’s four game suspension will be reduced by the arbitrator. More to come.
Newsday is reporting that the Eagles will release Owens. This report is highly suspicious and seems to be complete conjecture.
