Is there any better early Christmas present than a whole slate of football games on Christmas Eve? What a great schedule.
Last week was a good week as most of us went 13-3 and only Trevor went 10-6. We’re looking to repeat that strong performance this week. Here we go with the Week 16 NFL picks.

Locks of the Week
Vegas Vinny: Eagles fans, we don’t have much to hang out hats on this year. The year in review highlight reel is about 5 minutes long. Still, like Tara Reid being diseased infested and Merrill Hoge being a prick, there are some truths we can depend on in this life, and one of them is that the Eagles are better than the Cardinals. The Cardinals lost to Houston. HOUSTON. And now they’re giving 1 pt to the Eagles? Please. It’d be better for the Eagles to lose this game but they’re gonna win it. Take the Eagles.
Teri Berg: Vegas has got the Patriots getting five points against the Jets?! Maybe alcohol won’t be sold at Giants Stadium on Sunday because all the bookies in Nevada drank the country dry before coming up with the spread for this game. How many points did NE beat the Jets by just three weeks ago? Try 13 — and that’s because an uncharacteristic Tom Brady threw for zero TDs. The Pats then whupped Buffalo 35-7 and the next week b****-slapped Tampa Bay 28-0. A five-point spread? Someone’s on crack in Sin City. Patriots (-5)
BostonMac: Here they come! Even I, a lifetime Patriots derelict homer, was ready to write off the defending champs after the ass-kicking at the hands of the Colts in Foxborough. Message to pundits like Dan Marino who were so quick to criticize the Patriots’ recent weak schedule: you can’t have it both ways. You can’t come out last week and say that the Bucs are a dangerous team who could go into Gillette and knock off the champs, and as soon as the ass-kicking is over, come out and downplay it by saying, “Well it was ONLY Tampa Bay.” More to come on this in an upcoming SC.com article. In the meantime, I will lay any number of points this week against the Jets. I (and approximately 25,000 other Patriots fans) will be invading the Meadowlands this weekend, where the only beer being served will be in the form of kegstands on the Jets’ sideline and owners’ box. This game has “35-3 in the fourth quarter when the camera pans to shots of fans wearing paper bags on their heads” written all over it. The squeamish should avert their eyes on Monday night lest they view the carnage that is sure to ensure. PATRIOTS (-5) over the Jets.
Trevor F: Two teams absolutely stocked with character guys do battle on Christmas night. I’m going to take Minnesota who is getting 2 1/2 points on the road. The Love Boat looked a little leaky last week, but I think they get it together and beat Baltimore. Minnesota can’t afford to drop to 8-7 and I think they get a win over a Baltimore team that looked better than they actually are on Monday night. Vikings (+2.5)
