I know that it is too early to make a judgment, but here is my first coaching report of the season. With the resignation of Bobby Wallace, I felt it was time to make my projections on who is done and who is not.

I’m sure nobody thought my reaction to this atrocity would be any different than it is.

But then again, I’m sure nobody has even heard about what the ESPN family of networks has enslaved the University of Southern Mississippi, an institution of higher learning that is unfortunately under the abusive whip of the aforementioned monopoly, to do next month as a result of the postponement of a game due to Category 5 Hurricane Rita.

Last week was a wild week of college football. Some of the teams toward the top had fallen or stumbled a bit. That means some movement in the Heisman Trophy race.

For the past three days, I’ve been waiting for someone to tell me that it was all a cruel joke.

I have never been so disgusted with the way my team played that I would write an entire article about it.

But then again, I never though that any team in any situation could play as pathetically lousy in every aspect of the game as the University of Florida did on Saturday at Alabama.

After one month of exciting showdowns and shocking records (Vanderbilt), I take a look at the state of SEC football.

What we think and feel after Week 4 of the college football season.

Am I on crack, or is Vandy 4-0?

Penn State’s record as of today: 4-0. It has been a long five years for Joe Paterno and the Penn State Nittany Lions. Ever since the great graduating class of 1999, which saw two Nittany Lions, Courtney Brown and LaVar Arrington, go one and two of the NFL draft, things have been anything and everything but happy in Happy Valley.

Recently, star running back Adrian Peterson of the University of Oklahoma Sooners was suspended from practice for two days because he failed to go to class.  Should fans care if athletes from big-time schools do not go to class?
