The Real QB Competition

By Jeremy Burnham

Everyone in their right mind knew that Tim Rattay should start over rookie Alex Smith. If you did not know that from the start, you sure found out after the first preseason game. And if you still had doubts after that, they were crushed after the second game. Even Coach Nolan seemed to finally get it, naming Rattay the starter.

Tom Brady = Joe Montana?

By Jeremy Burnham

This article will sound funny coming from me. Just 24 hours ago, I wrote an article that offended a lot of Joe Montana fans who disagreed with me when I said that Steve Young was the best QB ever to play the game. However, instead of getting back into that topic, I want to bring up the topic I had been planing for Super Bowl Sunday for quite some time. That topic is Tom Brady being called the new Joe Montana.

49ers looking at a long road of losing

 By Jeremy Burnham

I’m not really sure why, but some people are very good college football coaches, but just can’t cut it in the NFL. San Francisco 49ers head coach Dennis Erickson is one of these coaches.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not blaming this whole season on him. Last season? Yes, but not this season. The team was gutted. Jeff Garcia is gone. Terrell Owens also left. Tai Streets, Garrison Hearst? Gone and gone. So the GM brought a bunch of big talent in to replace them right? HA! That would be a no. Not all teams can care that much about winning. Who do you think we are talking about here, the San Francisco 49ers? Oh wait, that’s right, we are. One thing is for sure, these are not the same old Niners. The good old Eddie D days are LONG gone.
