It was a flat out unbelievable week in college football. Maybe one of the best ever in college football. I wrote this later than usual mainly because I was emotionally drained from last week. Along with a great week of college football, we had unbelievable play from some Heisman contenders.

There were a lot of meaningful games last week that kept college football fans on their toes. Heisman contenders are now getting into mid-season form and it should be exciting to watch them the next couple of weeks.

Yea Boller- This Is Your Year
Kyle Boller, the promising quarterback out of the University of California, entered himself in the 2003 NFL draft. Soon to find himself drafted the 19th pick by the Baltimore Ravens. Picked to be the quarterback of the future for Baltimore. But so far, Boller has done nothing but disappoint.
And that’s just what they’ll do. One of these days these cleats are gonna run all over you. That’s going to be the motto of some of the fast college football players this season. Some of the best playmakers are the ones that can make plays with their feet. There are some guys that really stick out to me and to other college football fans.
As most of you know, last year there was a lot of BCS controversy. There were three teams with perfect records, USC, Oklahoma and Auburn. The controversy was on which two teams should go to the National Championship. The BCS said that USC and Oklahoma should go and it had a lot of people outraged. One of the main reasons for this problem was the pre-season polls.
ACC Preview 2005
Last year Virginia Tech made a stunning run to win the ACC championship. This year the ACC should have some more competition with the newcomers settling in and the prestigious schools getting back to their normal ways. The battle for the ACC should be really exciting this year and it looks like the teams are ready and raring to go.
The Idiots: Back in First
The Boston Red Sox started the year pretty quiet. Their Ace in their staff, Curt Schilling, was put on the DL with his infamous ankle bruise. Their record was overshadowed by the Orioles impressive start and Boston’s average one. Some people were a little too quick to count the defending World Champions out.
