After the Madness that was the NBA draft unfolded last night at Madison Square Garden, let’s take a look at which NBA teams really helped themselves and which teams shot themselves in the foot (cough Toronto cough, cough).

If you go to a stadium these days, there’s 101 things to do. Listen to bell ring on a home run in Philly, or watch the cars drive over the Roberto Clemente Bridge in Pittsburgh. Heck, we never knew Pittsburgh look that good.

And you know what? It’s all designed by one company. HOK Sport.

With the deadline to stay in the NBA Draft having passed, we now know who is available.  Therefore it is time to come with our first full mock draft.  Let us begin…………..

For the last two weeks I have been watching the College World Series. I never really got into it too much, because to be honest with you I just didn’t care. But this year I am into it, I am into it like a fat kid is into Krispy Kremes.

I went to Arizona State and after seeing them finally beat Cal-State Fullerton after losing to them 3 out of 4 times in the past few years, just made me that much more excited about the CWS. But the real reason why I now love the CWS is because it is an escape from the scandalized and tainted Major League Baseball.

I couldn’t help but think of the WNBA last weekend as Danica Patrick, perpetually dressed in her racing gear, became racing’s It Girl for her record-breaking performance at the Indianapolis 500.

As the ball fell over the lip and plunked against the bottom of the cup, Michael Campbell’s whole world changed.  Pulling his golf cap down over his face to cover his welling tears, he clasped his hands to the back of his head, taking a few moments; scarcely believing that his dream was finally realised.

In Phil Jackson’s tell-all book, released less than a year ago, the former Chicago Bulls coach called Kobe Bryant “uncoachable” while he was winning three NBA Championships with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Give your father what he really wants this Father’s Day.

I only applied to one school, only wrote one college essay, waxed philosophical on only one “best advice I ever received” topic. I’m 24-years old, and now I look upon most baseball metaphors with a disdain usually reserved for ESPN writers. But I still hold my father’s sound wisdom, his insistence that I never let a fastball go by without swinging, as one of the finest gems of wisdom anyone has ever instilled into me.
