We had a nice bounceback week last week and hope to continue that trend this week as we fight to get above water against the spread. Lots of intriguing games this week as 6 out of the 14 games have a field goal and under spread. And there’s all sorts of trash talking going on between the Jets and the Dolphins which always makes for good theater.

In the history of this podcast, we’ve never done as poorly as we did last week. The solution? Bring back the replacement refs! At least then we have an excuse for why we suck. For the first time all year, we have two hosts go head to head on the Locks of the Week. Since everyone seems to be getting their locks wrong, the game will end in a ATS tie — even at 10.5 points. Last week was a great week straight up but disastrous against the spread. In fact, we’ve been pretty poor against the spread all season. If you took all our bets collectively, you’d be missing a finger or two by now. But, like every good gambler, we know that being above water is just around the corner.

The thing to remember about week 2 of the NFL season is not to overcorrect. Yes, everyone was shocked by the Cowboys beating the Giants but don’t write off the Giants or anoint the Cowboys just yet. Plenty of good games this week to analyze and bet if you’re so inclined.
