That’s it, I’ve had it. Except for a few people, the world has publically denounced Jose Canseco and book. While I don’t want to talk about steroids any more. I think somebody needs to take Canseco’s side. In his new book he states.

I bet you all thought nobody was going to write a preview for the Pac-10 conference tournament. Well, here I am, writing a preview for the bastard stepchild of the power conferences. The Pac-10 is definitely the Ashlee Simpson of college sports, everyone thinks we’re cute but once we get on the national stage everyone wishes that our hotter sister (any other power conference) was there instead.

How can any sports fan not love college basketball’s March Madness? Unless you always root for the front runner, hate upsets, and enjoy the status quo in the world of sports (Yankees fans) you have to love this time of year. It brings heated rivalries, buzzer beaters, do or die games, and upsets galore. All of this madness takes place before the NCAA tournament even begins.

Is This The End For Bruschi?
Tedy Bruschi is a true football player. A player that you could easily see in a leather helmet on a cold fall day, playing his guts out. We’re not talking about Randy Moss or Deion Sanders here. Tedy Bruschi is a guy who will get it done every game, no matter what the circumstances. However, we learned that this warrior isn’t superman after all. When he was hospitalized two weeks ago for a mild stroke, everything changed. Can this man make it back to the NFL?
San Antonio is the modern day example of a team that can compete and rebuild at the same time. After winning their first championship in the lockout shortened season in 1999, they filtered out their older talent such as David Robinson, Avery Johnson and Sean Elliot and replaced them with Rasho Nesterovic, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili to surround franchise cornerstone Tim Duncan. When the Spurs won their second ring in 2003, they were calling the season a “rebuilding year.” Of course rebuilding on the fly is easier when you have Duncan roaming the pivot, but in this regard, San Antonio is still the standard to which most NBA teams aspire.

I Can’t Buy a Jet Jersey
Laverneus Coles is back, back from the dead that is the Washington Redskins. While I am happy to have LC back, I am definitely a little upset to see Santana Moss go. The guy has been nothing but a first class guy in the locker room and when healthy, a spark to an offense that sometimes in Herman Edwards terms is, “Driving Miss Daisy.”
Although Moss was hampered by a hamstring injury he provided two of the biggest plays of the Jets’ postseason. Against the Chargers he caught the 47 yard touchdown pass from Pennington, and against the Steelers Moss returned a punt for a touchdown that would have been the spark to lead the Jets to the AFC championship if the Jets didn’t blow it. Moss has provided many sparks just like the one’s previously mentioned and he will definitely be missed. I will miss Moss and I will enjoy seeing Coles back in a Jet uniform, the real thing that upsets me about this trade is that I have a Santana Moss jersey that is now useless.
