Despite my instinct to avoid the subject, I can’t help calling out a blatant misuse of the race card by one Donovan McNabb, quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles. Amid the 24-hour hype of Super Bowl XL on ESPN, McNabb reared his ugly (and oversized) head on SportsCenter with a hypocritical, one-sided analysis of his feud with Terrell Owens.

Congratulations to the Houston Texans, winner of the number-one overall pick in the April 29 NFL draft. Though they may have earned it by throwing half of their games, the Texans now have the awesome power to choose their favorite player among one of the most talented draft classes since even before Maurice Clarett knew how to rob people at gunpoint.
The San Francisco 49ers were once a storied football franchise with five shining Vince Lombardi trophies in their collection. Since the late 1990s, however, the 49ers ownership has made numerous unintelligent decisions, transforming their dynasty into the laughingstock of the league. However, despite all the criticism the 49ers deserve for their failures, they did one thing right: they traded Terrell Owens to the Philadelphia Eagles.
A Hex on Peyton’s House
With an easy 31-17 win over the Houston Texans last Sunday, the Indianapolis Colts improved to 9-0, moving them past the halfway point of their journey to an undefeated season and a permanent place in the record books. Looking at the Colts’ upcoming schedule and admiring the team’s stocked offense and mean defense, I don’t envision anyone stopping the Colts on their way to a 16-0 record.
