I know that it is too early to make a judgment, but here is my first coaching report of the season. With the resignation of Bobby Wallace, I felt it was time to make my projections on who is done and who is not.

Loss of Values
I’m sure nobody thought my reaction to this atrocity would be any different than it is.
But then again, I’m sure nobody has even heard about what the ESPN family of networks has enslaved the University of Southern Mississippi, an institution of higher learning that is unfortunately under the abusive whip of the aforementioned monopoly, to do next month as a result of the postponement of a game due to Category 5 Hurricane Rita.
Please Tell Me That Was A Joke
For the past three days, I’ve been waiting for someone to tell me that it was all a cruel joke.
I have never been so disgusted with the way my team played that I would write an entire article about it.
But then again, I never though that any team in any situation could play as pathetically lousy in every aspect of the game as the University of Florida did on Saturday at Alabama.
Is there some sort of law I have never heard about that requires every single sports writer to write and talk about steroids?
Sure, it needs to be reported, but to this extent? To the extent that a fart out of Rafael Palmeiro’s butt (or, so I’m told, it is actually coming out of his face, but it smells just as fishy) gets psychoanalyzed on every major sports program non-stop? To the extent that every time Barry Bonds steps, no hobbles, to the plate we have to mention what he may or may not have been doing for the last ten years that was completely legal to use in Major League Baseball? To the extent that every player who hit a walk-off homerun who was 0-4 with three strikeouts before that in the game is automatically a `roids possible by the media?
This is in response to TrevorE2W’s article.
I came up with what I thought were the 24 best rivalries and made a top 15 from there. The other eight are honorable mention.
Runover Train
It’s things like this that make us remember that athletes are more human than we like to think they are.
Laveranues Coles, one of the most feared wide receivers in the NFL, has admitted publicly that he was sexually abused as a child and into his young teenage life by his stepfather.
Some people know how to do their jobs.
In fact, I’ll go out on a limb and say that a good majority of Americans (and Canadians) have enough knowledge to survive the average day at work without causing a Homer Simpsonesque explosion.
Sinking Decision
Who would have thought that in the wake of a category five hurricane that devastated the Gulf Coast, most notably New Orleans and Gulfport, Mississippi, the NCAA, the organization that took away amateur status from skier/football player Jeremy Bloom and gave it to former major-league third baseman Josh Booty, has done the most of any sports organization to help?

Preseason Power Rankings
Each week during college football season, I will post two thing: My power rankings based on how good the team is (partially based on wins and losses) and my 3*+ Plays.
This is my preseason power rankings. Please note that I have teams projected to go 7-5 on the list ahead of 9-3 teams. When I make my projections, I account for the chance of upsets, schedule strength, trends, etc. My power rankings are based on how good the team is.
Thank you and enjoy!
