Paul Tagliabue recently visited Los Angeles and said that he is committed to bringing a football team back to LA. Now he never specified when or how. But there are rumors flying around that we’re not far removed from a new team being in Los Angeles.Los Angeles is the second biggest television market in the world. So the NFL needs a football team there. When will there be a football team in LA? No one is absolutely sure but someone could predict in the near future like 2009 or 2010ish.
The other question is will it be an expansion team or a relocated team? I am 99.9% sure it will be a relocated team. Why screw up the way the divisions are set up? It’s perfect. You keep the 32 teams. So who is going out. Well the three teams I believe might relocate are Arizona, Minnesota, and New Orleans.
Out of the three I believe Minnesota has the best chance of relocating. I mean it’s obviously a franchise on the downfall. Ever since they lost Moss it’s been a complete disaster. You have your running back get caught with the Original Whizinator. Then you have the whole Love Boat saga. And then you’ve got an owner in Ziggy Wilf who, in my opinion, is a complete and total moron. Mike Tice should not coach in this league. It’s just so screwed up that maybe a new city would help it.
New Orleans is definitley one that could seem possible but almost can’t happen. The NFL has even said they are obligated to keeping a team in New Orleans. Could you imagine what would happen if LA gets the Saints? The NFL will get ripped on like never before. People will call them classless and say they don’t give a damn about the hurricane victims. But look at the situation. They’ve got a stadium that won’t be ready until who knows when. The city is in shambles. But the NFL won’t do it because they flat out can’t. The Saints will just play in San Antonio until the stadium is ready. They don’t have to worry about them taking the Saints away. San Antonio has about a .1% chance of getting a team…ever.
Then there is the Cardinals. If I were the NFL I’d do this one. I mean just look at it. They have been so bad so much it’s not even funny. They have no fans at all. When people actually decide to come to the game, at least more than half the fans are for the other team. It’s too hot. Also, this would make the most sense location wise. Los Angeles in the NFC North? NFC South? Maybe. NFC West? Makes absolutely the most sense.
So there’s three different things here. What will happen is that the Vikings will get moved to Los Angeles. What should happen is that Arizona should get moved to Los Angeles. What should but won’t happen because of the fallout is New Orleans being moved.

comment I’d give them an expansion team, and then give San Antonio one too, but not until the Saints are ready to move back into New Orleans. You would just have one team added to 2 divisions.
comment Actually, on second thought maybe they should give an expansion team to Anaheim. Or Tustin. Something like that. But they’d have to be the Anaheim Somethings, and then change their name to the Los Angeles Somethings of Anaheim. Yeah that rolls of the tounge much better, huh?
i didnt like the ish in 2009 or 2010ish kind of brought down my mood for the story
