1(1) 56-17
The Suns are back on another winning streak and have averaged 111 points during this streak. They might not be the best team but they are clearly the most talented.
2(2) 55-19
Miami has finally cleaned up their record vs. the West. They’ve won 8 of their last 10 against the west to straighten that record to 18-10. Any fears about them not being able to hang with the western conference are gone.
3(3) 54-19
Since Duncan’s latest absence, the Spurs haven’t won any road games. That’s no good, 6 of their last 9 games are away from the SBC Center. That’s not the kind of rhythm they want heading into the playoffs.
4(5) 49-24
Dallas has the perfect mix of scorers and defenders to beat San Antonio and Phoenix. Keep an eye on them.
5(7) 46-27
Larry Brown is back. But honestly I didn’t even realize he was gone. They still played the same inconsistent basketball.
6(8) 41-31
By winning 18 of 20, the only question I have is where was this earlier? Does George Karl make that much difference? The one thing I do know is that nobody wants to play these guys in the 1st round.
7(4) 50-23
I only have one problem with the Sonics. Those disgusting yellow road unis they wore against Golden St. on Sunday. With uniforms that bad, I am glad they lost.
8(9) 41-31
If the Bulls can win 9 of their last 10, they’ll have a 50 win season. I’ll just let that soak for a little while.
9(14) 44-30
Sandwiched in between two 4 game road trips, the Rockets had a 2 game homestand. That was supposed to be soothing. But with losses to New Orleans and Phoenix, it became the complete opposite.
10(14) 39-35
It was good to see KG motivated again, but I think it’s too late. Hopefully they will learn their lesson.
11(15) 38-34
The way these guys are playing without Jermaine has to have some teams worried come playoff time. When he gets back, they will be that much better.
12(12) 41-31
Hughes and Arenas have held down the fort well in Jamison’s absence. If they wanna do some damage in playoffs, Antawn needs to be back.
13(11) 45-30
The Kings keep falling and falling. They are definitely a hot and cold team that will live and die by their shooters. Then again, a healthy Brad Miller changes a lot of things.
14(10) 39-34
With Boston firmly planted in that 3 spot, Celtic fans are secretly cheering for the Cavs. Why? Boston would much rather be playing Cleveland than Indiana in the 1st round.
15(13) 41-31
How bad would it be for Memphis if their big turn-around this season was for nothing? Well it aint far from happening. The T’Wolves are coming, and the Grizz are clinging to their slim 3 game lead. The injury to Swift could knock them out.
16(17) 38-34
If Lebron wants to make a splash in playoffs, they are going to have to figure out how to win on the road. Their 11-24 road record won’t get it done.
17(19) 28-45
Its too bad that the Warriors didn’t pick up Baron Davis earlier in the season. Their record in their last 10 games is 8-2. That’s better than 11 western conference playoff teams.
18(16) 36-37
With Webber out, AI has to carry the Sixers to the playoffs. Nothing has changed.
19(18) 35-39
New Jersey’s lost to Orlando almost killed their playoff hopes. Since they play 6 of their next 8 games vs. the top 8 teams in the East, their hopes are dead.
20(23) 35-38
Like New Jersey, Orlando doesn’t have much hope left either. They have 7 of their last 8 games vs the top 8 teams in the East.
21(20) 33-41
It’s funny that if the Clips can win 40 games it’s a success, but if the Lakers win 40 it’s a disaster. On paper, the Clips have more talent.
22(21) 33-40
I overheard a conversation today about why the Lakers aren’t going to the playoffs. The guys were blaming Kobe. I love Laker Fans.
23(25) 28-45
The Terry Porter getting fired rumors are flying. The problem is, they won’t be any better without him. NBA coaches are the most overrated aspect in any sport. Ask Phil Jackson.
24(24) 30-43
Once Bosh gets a youthful, enthusiastic sidekick, the Raptors will be a good team. Rashad McCants? Hopefully.
25(22) 29-43
Remember when the Knicks were 16-13 and looked like potential playoff team. People were saying that a healthy Houston with Starbury and Crawford, would be a great combination. Man, were those guys wrong.
26(28) 17-55
Here is a reason not to have the NBA league pass. New Orleans visits Atlanta this week. That’s gonna be bad.
27(26) 15-57
With Brevin Knight 2nd in the NBA in assists, one question has been answered for me. The Bobcats won’t be drafting Chris Paul.
28(27) 22-50
Imagine a front line of AK-47, Carlos Boozer, and Andrew Bogut. It’s only a few ping pong balls away from becoming a reality.
29(29) 24-48
I’m just gonna shake my head and move on.
30(30) 11-62
Remember the poll I put up about which college team could beat their in-state pro team? Well Georgia Tech could beat the Hawks. So could the Falcons and Braves.
