Locks of the Week
Guru Ganu: Denver is my lock of the week. They will absolutely kill the Raiders.
Possibly by 50 points. Despite my lock record, I am sure I will be right about this one. Yes, this is again a blind lock…I was right about last week wasn’t I?
Mile High: I know it will be Detroit’s “special” day, but Peyton Manning has the single season TD pass record clearly in his sights and nothing, I repeat, nothing will stop him. The Colts (-7.5) are an offensive machine, and I expect them to score so fast and often that Detroit’s offense will become one-dimensional in a hurry. The Lions may keep it interesting with yet another kickoff or punt return for a TD, but the Colts roll in this one.
Vegas Vinny: I still can’t believe I lost my Lock last week because Carson Palmer got a safety in the endzone. You idiot! Throw the ball away! Okay.. I’m calm again. This week, I’m going with the Patsies who are only giving up 7 pts to the Ravens with Jamal Lewis out of the lineup. When you count on Kyle Boller to win the game for you, you’re going to end up losing by more than a TD.
Mr. X: I am announcing today that I will step down from lock of the weeks next year and allow a new contestant to make that pick each week. I am completely incompetent. (Now wouldn’t the world be a better place if people like ED WADE, Jim Haslett and Bud Selig…eh hem…Joe Paterno…did such things?)As for playing our the string in Ron Zook fashion I’ll take the Cowboys to upend Chicago on Turkey day behind Drew Henson.
