We've had a lot of stories about Junior and how much people respect him so I thought I'd post this little bit I just saw today. Seems the guy is so star crossed with injuries. He could have been the greatest of all time if not for the injuries. At least he was able to have a decent career unlike Bo Jackson.
Griffey's throwing hand will be in a hard cast for three weeks, then will be re-examined, Reds spokesman Rob Butcher said Friday. Butcher said he could not say when or how the accident occurred because Griffey did not authorize any more details to be released. General manager Wayne Krivsky wasn't sure whether Griffey will be ready for the start of spring training. The club will have a better idea when the hand is examined again in three weeks. Can I gloat for a minute? First of all, it's rare that a game lives up to the hype but I thought the Eagles-Cowboys game was pretty damn exciting. Second, too all the suckers who picked the Cowboys... as Nelson would say -- hah ... hah! I actually thought the Cowboys would tie the game on the final play but for once, the ball bounces our way. I think the INT wasn't Bledsoe's fault as much as it was Jason Witten running the wrong route. Incredible day by McNabb. Aside from not feeling the pressure on the turnover for a TD, he was pretty much mistake free. Some bad throws but his long bombs more than made up for them. The same can't be said about TO. This week's podcast has me all geeked up about football. Here are the opening odds on who will win each division. Look at the Colts at 1/5. 1 to 5! You know what... the Saints at 11/2 isn't that bad of a bet.
NFC East
NFC North
NFC South

It's a shame the Wizards lost this game because a game 7 would have been unbelievable. Poor Gilbert Arenas missed 2 free throws at the end of OT that would have at least guaranteed an extra OT. Great game. (11 comments) Comments >> By Vin, Section Journals
Kevin.. being loud doesn't mean you're good. In fact, you suck. I'd rather hear my dead grandmother do play by play than Kevin "WHAT A SEDUCTIVE MOVE" Harlan. Shut the f up already! All he did was dribble the ball over the half court line. (4 comments) Comments >> By Vin, Section Journals
That was ridiculous. The Suns got absolutely robbed by the refs and will lose this series now. The NBA is the worst officiated league and that includes the NFL Playoff fiasco. (2 comments) Comments >> By Vin, Section Journals
I know he's declining but he didn't need to be posterized with LBJ looking down on him. By Vin, Section Journals
I just got my latest issue of ESPN the Mag (Apr 24 issue) in the mail yesterday. "Leinhart was a natural fit for Steinberg's client roster. He grew up five miles from the agent and had the same quarterback coach growing up as Ben Roethlisberger, another Steinberg superstar."
