Why I Care About The Giants So Much

I had the good fortune of watching the last two New York Giants games in the company of a young lady who can only be described as "heavenly", by virtue of us both being invited to watch the contests at the apartment of a mutual friend.  Playoff football is not a conducive atmosphere to get to know someone, so I have every intention of asking her out for a cup of coffee the day after Super Bowl 42.

Regarding Sean Taylor: I Have My Answer

It's been 60+ hours since word came that Sean Taylor had passed.  When I first heard of the shooting, I did not think of death as the eventual outcome.  When news trickled out about the severity of the injury, I was surprised.  Soon, Sean Taylor was lost.

There is a reason why pride is considered the deadliest of the seven Cardinal sins.  Pride causes us to overestimate our abilities and will blur our personal boundaries.  Pride will swell our ego and make us believe things that, in humbler times, we know aren't so.  Pride will take us down a rocky path of failure, to attempt things that cannot be done.
