Chone Figgins. In Anaheim, home of the Angels, all you need to say are those two words and it will get you praise. When you go to an Angels' game and they announce his name the crowd goes crazy. When he gets a hit, it seems as if the crowd stands in unison and gives everyone around them a high five. You stand up as well because the energy is so intense that you feel as if you must. The home crowd loves him and so does Mike Scioscia.

In the off-season of 2003 Vlad Guerrero was a free-agent. He was not able to be re-signed by the Expos because of their money problems and was a risk to many MLB teams. He had a back injury that year and some general managers were skeptical about his durability. Little did they know, the best is yet to come.

Coming into the 2004 season the Anaheim Angels looked like the team to beat in the AL. I had high hopes for this very well balanced team. Injuries have detoured their success but I still believe that this can be a very dangerous and potent club as long as Vlad the man can continue his all-star year.
