...when you see athletes complain about how they are treated unfairly in court, by the police, by the media, or even by family and friends. You are a celebrity, different treatment, whether it be negative or positive, tends to come with the territory. You didn't honestly think that you would be treated like everyone else even though your actions are documented on a daily basis by local and national media, did you? Come on!
You'd have to be a moron to think that just because you make ten times as much money as 95% of the rest of the world that you'd be treated the same. I'm a college student, I don't have paparazzi or local and national news crews popping pictures or shoving a microphone in my face asking me about my thoughts on the latest underwear model to take a nose dive off a eight story building into an empty swimming pool! Know why? Because I don't make the kind of money where my opinion on that stuff would matter! So stop your crying and whining about everyone not understanding that you're a regular person who just wants to be treated fairly. If that were the case, you'd stand in line outside of nightclubs like everyone else, you'd pay eight dollars a beer instead of getting expensive champagne carted over to you, and you'd serve your jail time without special privileges! Quit your crying!
(These thoughts are spewed to the general athlete or celebrity, nobody specific, although I could point out some names, but this would have to be dragged out much longer, and I'm tired already!)
