June 2007 Writing Contest

Thanks to all the writers who made submissions into the May Writing Contest.  Voting for the May Contest will continue until midnight 6/7/07 so go ahead and get your votes in.  Here is a list of all stories eligible for the May contest.

That said, it's a brand new month so flex those fingers and get cracking on your next column.  The June writing contest is underway.  All columns published during the month of May will be eligible and the voting for the June contest ends 7/7/07. See below for prizes and details.

• The Contest begins on the 1st of every month and ends on the last day of that month. (e.g. June 1st to June 30th). Each month represents a separate "contest".

• Every published story on the site during the month of the contest is eligible, except for Journal Entries.  So for the June Contest, any article published between 6/1/07 and 6/30/07 is eligible.  There is no limit to the number of articles you have in the contest.
  
• In order to give articles that are published the last week of the month a fair shake, the voting for the month doesn't end until the 7th day of the following month.  (e.g. voting for the June Contest ends on July 7th)
  
• No writer may win the contest 2 months in a row.
• By entering the contest, you agree that the management of Sportscolumn.com has final say in all matters related to the contest.  You also warrant that any article submitted by you is your own original work.  Any article that violates the copyright of another person or company is ineligible and contest entry will be voided.  In addition, any attempts to manipulate the contest will result in a voided entry.
