Nashville is starting to run away with the power rankings. Meanwhile, the top nine did not change. In the middle of the pack, Pittsburgh has finally overtaken Boston, thanks in part to Sidney Crosby lightning up the Coyotes like a firework. Ottawa continues to impress, while the Flyers are talking with Forsberg about his future. Where did your team end up?

Want another reason why the Sabres will not end up dealing Biron? Look at Chris Mason in Nashville. He leads the team in wins, GAA, and save percentage. Oh, did I mention he's the "backup".

It's looks as though the Sabretrain may slow for a bit, but it's good to struggle now, then in the playoffs.

Have you noticed a pattern yet? The top three teams have backups that could serve as starters somewhere else. |

Pronger's back earlier than expected, and Francois Beauchemin has also returned. This team is getting healthy, that is not what San Jose or Nashville wanted to hear.

Dominik Hasek turns 42 this week. How did the Wings celebrate? Just allowing only twelve shots to Colorado on Sunday.

Whereas the top three teams each have two good young goalies, both New Jersey and Detriot are getting the job done with future Hall-of-Fame forty-plus goalies. Broudeur is in the middle of his best season in his career, even better than the 2001 campaign. 30 wins, 1.99 GAA, and a Save pct. of .929, means the Veznia is well on its way to the Meadowlands.

Jason Spezza's back. That should be enough to send a chill down everyone in the East's spine. The Senators are for real.

Sheldon Souray is fed up with the recent play of the Habs. Going so far as to call his teammates out in the media. Things in Quebec should get très intresting. |

Sidney Crosby is a God to be feared and worshiped. Just remember that when the Pens make a huge upset in the first round of the playoffs.

The Leafs are top five when it comes to special teams. They're problem is health lately. Also, could Darcy Tucker be out the door soon? Gigure, were you listening to that?

They're in last place in the Atlantic after it was learned this week that the Flyers will be relegated to the ECHL. Honestly, they're a train wreck, and if it wasn't for the Flyers, they would be in their most comfortable spot, dead last.

How are they even over .500? Thomas and Toivonen are horrible goalies. |

What's that bright light in the desert? Oh, that's just Mikael Tellqvist getting lit up by Sidney Crosby. I haven't even seen Christmas trees that were as lit up as he was.

It's almost that point with the Kings where players will injure themselves, so they won't been seen in public as someone associated with the Kings. |

How do you fix the Flyers? Trade Forsberg, force Hatcher, Zhitnik, and Knuble into retirement. Then cut everyone but Jeff Carter, Simon Gange, and R.J. Umberger, and start over. |
