I've Officially Offended The Darts Community

You guys all have to check this out.  Not only have I been getting e-mails......Yours truly is being bashed on a darts message board.  Check this out!

World Series of Darts Message Board

This all stems from a comment I made in my weekly "Potpourri" at www.realityfanforum.com when I said:

"The World Series of Darts:  I saw ESPN was airing this travesty.  First off, it's not a regulation dart game unless it is taking place at a dimly lit bar with the name McCann's/O'Reilly's/Flannery's etc.  Secondly and most importantly, if you are going to have a dart-shooting contest, each contestant needs to imbibe at least six beers beforehand AND must be holding a beer in their left hand while shooting with the right.  The rules and venue are simple to achieve.  I cannot believe ESPN screwed this one up."

I hate to admit it, but I found myself with nothing to do last Tuesday, so I turned on ESPN and watched that entire hour of the WSOD...I actually liked it, it was pretty cool and of course thye make it as dramatic ashumanly possible. They have tons of different characters, and I actually learned how to play by watching (I always thought the point was to just get it on the bullseye...). Embarassing, I know...but I know I'll be tuning in tomorrow again! Go U.S.A.!!

"trevor and the type of person he is i believe is why many people will never give us the respect we deserve. What he needs to be able to write an article would be to play one of us sometime along with a huge list of other things. i bet it sure would be interesting to see him say anything without a beer or drink in sight and get his butt whooped at the oche. I get harrassed a little at work about shooting darts because a lot of people view it as a drinking bar game. I recently had a few of the guys go out to a bar here and shoot some games with me while we unwinded from work. One of the guys said " wow look how smooth he releases the darts" another guy was amazed at how "accurate" i was. I am nothing compared to the pro's i told them. So now these same guys are throwing darts and trying to emulate what they saw me do and they are having a blast. The best part along with getting them to shoot was i didnt have a drink other than a pepsi to prove a point. "
