What's wrong with athletes lately? It seems like everywhere you turn, somebody in sports is getting arrested or doing something wrong. Today's victim was B.J. Upton, who was arrested and charged with DUI. Upton is a top prospect in the Devil Rays farm system who has already seen some success at the big league level.

Maybe all of these athletes are just thinking too much with their over-inflated egos and believe they're above the law and above common sense. There has just been so much stupidity among athletes (Ben Roethlisberger, J.J. Redick Chris Henry, Esteban Loaiza, Dmitri Young, Cato June, Jason Grimsley...).

Could it be that it's always been this bad and we are just now noticing it, or is there something in the American water that's making these guys turn against society and common sense?

Devil Rays (#1)

I really feel sorry for the Devil Rays. Their minor leaguers have been making news for all the wrong reasons. First a player hits an umpire with his bat, then a player gets suspended for steroids, and now a third player is in trouble with the law.
