After a week break, the NBA Power Rankings are back with a brawl and a blockbuster. It was an interesting week for the Nuggets, who came out anything but Golden. However, through all the blundering of two weeks, the Knicks cannot be denied their post.

(6) 18-6 If you have not heard about this winning streak, I cannot help you anyway.
(5) 20-6 They have weathered the storm and are efficiently keeping themselves in elite company.
(3) 19-7 They are holding strong, but have fallen off of their pace. Their overachievers are eventually going to fall off, and Kirilenko will have to step it up.
(1) 19-7 Out of the top 5 scorers, exactly none of them are adequate post players.
(17) 15-10 With or without headband, Wallace has improved this team. 9-1 in the last 10 has this team shooting up the Power Rankings
(4) 17-9 The Odom injury looks to be a setback, but the Kobe injury sure seemed like one too.
(8) 15-8 I am not convinced this team can make a playoff run. They are not nearly as smooth or consistent this season.
(2) 17-10 They lost to the Bobcats? Let's forget that week
(7) 15-10 The Rockets' record is deceiving, as they are just 6-8 in their own conference.
(12) 14-10 LeBron says he does not have as much energy as usual. That may mean Cleveland does not win as much as usual.
(10) 13-14 To a somewhat backwards effect, the Warriors are having problems against the Eastern conference.
(16) 10-12 Kevin Garnett will not be getting any help from the Answer, so he will have to hold on to the tail of the playoff race by himself.
(24) 12-12 Gilbert dropped 60 on the Lakers, and he had to, since big man Brendan Haywood only managed 4 points, but 6 fouls, in an overtime game.
(14) 10-14 I think this team can do fine without AI. He would have undeniably thrown off their chemistry.
(15) 14-13 Their scoring is low and their defense is mediocre, therefore they are in fourth place.
(27) 10-14 The C's suddenly have the second longest win streak in the NBA, at 5, and anything is enough for the top of the Atlantic.
(19) 11-14 The Heat will not be the favorite on Christmas this year.
(23) 12-14 This might be the best team in the Eastern Conference. Too bad they play in the West.
(11) 10-13 Martin is not effective in leading the team in scoring because he is no threat to pass or hit the boards.
(22) 11-15 Even without Bosh, they have risen to second in the division. As this should prove, anything is possible in the Atlantic.
(13) 10-14 Injuries have now set in, and this team will not be able to live up to the Saints' story in New Orleans.
(25) 11-14 Countdown to Ruben Patterson self-destruct will now begin.
(20) 10-17 5 Eastern conference losses in a row could increase suicide rates in Seattle.
(21) 9-15 Playoff race is a beautiful phrase to the Hawks fans, who cares if they are 5 games under .500.
(18) 11-14 The obvious favorite in the Atlantic is not only not winning, but not winning against terrible competition.
(28) 6-18 Somehow they managed to beat Detroit and Orlando this month, the only two wins. Go figure.
(26) 6-20 Gasol wants to be traded. Get comfortable Grizzlies.
(29) 5-19 What will happen first - the Sixers win a game or Iverson misses his first practice in Denver?
(9) 14-9 You fought the Knicks, the Knicks. That is so pathetic it is not even funny. The midget rights lawyers are even going to get into this for fighting Nate Robinson. Now you picked up Iverson and traded away the guy to run the offense.
(30) 11-17 Isaiah Thomas is possibly the most retarded coach in the history of basketball. I applaud George Karl for saying what he said.
