ESPN should focus a little more on accuracy

Dan McCarney was never fired. He resigned. That is not being fired. At least when cbssportsline makes such a mistake, you can easily email them and they'll correct it.

ESPN? No such option.

They don't give a shit that their writers not just are bad writers,  but haven't a care about what really happened. At least they're slightly better than the Associated Press. AP writers border on hysterically bad.

that's why i stopped reading ESPN (#1)

for commentary I'll go to Sportsline and for stats and standings etc, I use Yahoo sports.  Cleaner interface.

By the way, that says ESPN News Services which probably means it's an AP mistake.

He used the basic AP release. As a senior writer for them, he should have made the change while he was changing the article.
