Images of Tom Brady's Superbowl drives come to mind when watching Vince Young's performance at the end of the Rose Bowl. Cool, calm, and collected.
Vince Young owned it People say he is Mike Vick with an arm, or Tom Brady with legs. He says he's Vince Young. And the only question that surrounds Vince Young is, if he wants to enter the Draft, and if he does where does he fall. -- For the last few months Reggie Bush has displayed some of the best college performances ever seen. From 513 all-purpose yards to winning the Heisman. He has been regarded by most as the best college running back of all time. And people like Sean Salisbury think he, if put into the NFL right now, would be one of the top five backs in the league. What happens to what everyone thought as the lock to the first overall pick. Is he still atop the list, or does Vince Young show him what it feels like to be #2? -- This brings us to Houston, winners of what was the "Bush Bowl". Or was it really the "Vince Young Bowl"? Houston has 3 options. Reggie, Vince, or a trade. Their main needs at this moment are offensive lineman. Vince Young is a quarterback, Reggie Bush is a running back. This is the situation that Houston is blessed with: David Carr, if given a good offensive line, can be an effective quarterback. Such as last year when he passed for 3500 yards. The same goes for Dominack Davis, who was 26 yards away from 1000 on the season, with the worst offensive line in the league. Both are under the age 27.Should they keep the #1 pick or trade it away?
Trade it. Then the question wouldn't be who would be taken first overall, it'd be which team is capable of trading for it. What ever happens this Draft Houston will be enjoying it, because the winner of the Bush/Young Bowl got much more than they bargained for.
But, then again Vince still has to declare. Story writing contestLog in or create an account to vote for this story!
