Well I've officially seen it all. From the pope watching American inner city kids break dance to transexuals allowed to compete in the OLYMPICS, the apocalypse is officially upon us.

The most recent event, however, seems to be the unthinkable.

For years, as a diehard EAGLES fan, I've hated the Dallas Cowboys. HATE, alas, is not a strong enough word. Probably because of the trophies they own named after a certain Packers head coach. While my beloved team has none. In this Century the Eagles have proven that they own the NFC EAST and made the Dallas Cowboys a mere afterthought in the football community. The Eagles, of course, still need to hoist the Lombardi trophy but that will come...in due time.

I know. I know. Great cause...blah blah blah. Fantastic and I don't ever look at the "BLACK QB" issue so that's not where I'm going.

It's the fact that Quincy Carter must bring Donovan McNabb to Dallas schools in order to generate interest.

It's like me saying I'm going to talk to inner city kids, then upon realizing that they don't care about me, I recruit a professional athlete to make my point. Hilarious.

Dallas children are enamored by Mr.McNabb, as I assume most youngsters are. He's a unique talent. Not quite Marino or Montana throwing the ball, but damn if he doesn't know how to win. I digress.

The bigger point here is that Dallas is such a pathetic football organization, even with the legendary Bill Parcells whom I respect, that their starting QB must find a rival NFC EAST player to attract attention...and even more to the point...Philadelphia fans don't chastise Donovan for this because they are no longer threatened by Dallas. It's like DONOVAN is doing a CFL team a favor.

Apathy. It's a great word. Fantastic word. Especially when it applies to an NFL franchise that dominated for so many years. I almost feel bad for Dallas...come to think of it...no I don't.

While I join BP in his contempt for all things Cowboys, I must say that had the Eagles tried to send, say, Brad Goebel, Bobby Hoying, Jeff Kemp, Doug Pederson or any number of schmoes that they tried to pass off as QBs to my school, I doubt they would have found many jerseys sporting their numbers.

But if they had the decency to send Favre or Young along with them.....

Note: I love Don, but he hasn't reached the echelon of Brett and Steve.  I'm just making a point.

Super Bowl titles do wonderful things for the way people view QB's.

McNabb will be a legend once TO catches the ball over David Macklin with 3 minutes left in next years SUPER BOWL to finish the job...

While I enjoyed the article, I think the links to porn sites we can do without. The comment about transexuals competing in the olympics was not an article but a porn site. And I can only guess the "beLOVED" is the same thing.

The only link in the article in to the Eagles official site.  I think perhaps you have some spyware on your computer that sends porn popups.  You should erase those with Ad-Aware from Download.com.

It was brought to my attention that maybe there was spyware on the computer I was using that somehow created this link to a porn site. I was using a public computer and I guess this was possible since I am now using a "clean" work computer and no such link to a porn site exists. Sorry, didn't mean to imply anything about anyone I will check out that public computer again and see if it pops me back into a porn site.
