bobby wont put up the power numbers of the past, i think he is going to surprise a lot of people and have a very nice season in 2008. when he was going through the rough times in 2007 as you mentioned, it was often told about how embarrassed he was to be playing like he was in new york. i think bobby wants to do well, but more importantly, i think he doesn't mind being the center of attention. i think he enjoys it being shifted to arod, jeter and even the young guys now. i really think he enjoys being in new york with the situation the way it is, and he will produce and have a very good season.

also, a lot of his bad bad bad defensive plays came early in the year when he was having a tough time at the plate. direct correlation? maybe. but he definitely played better in the field when he started to heat up at the plate.
