in the movie they were trying to move to Miami. The Marlins are tryinh to leave Miami.

I think that people really were wayyyy too hard on the Marlins in the offseason with all the moves they made. I thought the moves were smart, and thinking towards the future. I did not expect them to be contending this late, but it's awesome that they are.
The reason I don't think the moves were bad, is if you saw who they were getting, it's amazing. They were snagging top prospects from every team, and while they had to give up veteran talent and leadership, they were securing the team's future for years to come with the best young players in the minors. Now, look what happened! It's incredible!!

I don't spend a lot of time on the NL, so I never know what the hell is going on--it doesn't help that whenever I check the standings on mlb.com, I'm always confused. The Marlins remind me of UVM in the NCAA 2 years ago. And you're right, they win the world series 2x in a decade, and it's less of a WHOA, WATCH OUT! team and more of a "looks like the leading lady role was wasted on Rachel Leigh Cook a la She's All That, when it should have been cast as Kristen Cavalleri a la Laguna Beach." So weird, and I never really thought about that. So this was real interesting! Good call, well-played
