2012 NFL Week 15 Picks and Podcast

We celebrate the end of Thursday Night Football, give you some homegrown knowledge of San Francisco that’s completely not football related, and try to dig out of the hole from last week. The featured games this week are Packers at Bears, Steelers at Cowboys, and Niners at Patriots. And don’t miss a completely uninformed discussion on race relations between real black guys and cornball black guys.

2012 NFL Week 14 Picks and Podcast

The rumors of Andy Reid returning for another season have Vin so depressed that he had to take the week off. Mike Ciccarone fills in this week to discuss playoff positioning and why the Giants will win the Super Bowl.

2012 NFL Week 13 Picks and Podcast

It’s week 13 but it doesn’t feel like the playoff positioning race is on yet. Maybe because there are too many teams that are just hanging around the middle of the pack and refuse to either die (Rex Ryan still thinks the Jets have a shot.) or position themselves at the head of the wildcard pack. The featured games this week are Colts at Lions, Bucs at Broncos, and Giants at Redskins.

2012 NFL Week 12 Picks and Podcast

Ryan returns on a Very Special Sportscolumn NFL Picks… By special, we mean the usual biased picks and inappropriate humor — just a day early! As far as we’re concerned, this is the only Thursday in which football should be allowed. None of those nonsense NFL network games for us.

The featured game sthis week are Falcons at Bucs, Ravens at Chargers, and Packers at Giants. Happy Thanksgiving, everybody!

2012 NFL Week 11 Picks and Podcast

After another strong showing and a tie to mess up all the numbers (we’re simply ignoring the tie), we’re back to keep the streak going. The featured games this week are Eagles at Redskins, Bucs at Panthers, Packers at Lions, and Ravens at Steelers. Because Vin is sick and cannot laugh without coughing, RJ decides to break out his best comedy material for this podcast just to be an ass.

2012 NFL Week 10 Picks and Podcast

We’re back after a strong showing. Who knew that not talking about games made for better picks. Unfortunately, we’re back to talking about the games this week as we’re fully recovered from Sandy. The featured games this week are Falcons at Saints, Broncos at Panthers, and Texans at Bears. Can the Saints hand the Falcons their first loss? Will John Fox get revenge? Will Jay Cutler play like a little bitch? All this on the podcast.

2012 NFL Week 9 Picks but no Podcast

For the first time in seven years, we don’t have a podcast to go with the picks this week. Thanks a bunch, Sandy. People can go without power, heat, potable water, but to deprive them of our weekly NFL picks? That’s just criminal. Almost as criminal as Jason Babin calling out Eagles fans with his tweets.

You canNOT download the podcast directly because there is no podcast this week. But you can subscribe to the feed.

2012 NFL Week 8 Picks and Podcast

We had a nice bounceback week last week and hope to continue that trend this week as we fight to get above water against the spread. Lots of intriguing games this week as 6 out of the 14 games have a field goal and under spread. And there’s all sorts of trash talking going on between the Jets and the Dolphins which always makes for good theater.

This week, the featured games are Falcons at Eagles, Giants at Cowboys, and Saints at Broncos.

2012 NFL Week 7 Picks and Podcast

In the history of this podcast, we’ve never done as poorly as we did last week. The solution? Bring back the replacement refs! At least then we have an excuse for why we suck. For the first time all year, we have two hosts go head to head on the Locks of the Week. Since everyone seems to be getting their locks wrong, the game will end in a ATS tie — even at 10.5 points. Somehow this will happen.

This week, the featured games are Saints at Bucs, Ravens at Texans, and Redskins at Giants.

2012 NFL Week 6 Picks and Podcast

Last week was a great week straight up but disastrous against the spread. In fact, we’ve been pretty poor against the spread all season. If you took all our bets collectively, you’d be missing a finger or two by now. But, like every good gambler, we know that being above water is just around the corner.

This week features some great matchups: Cowboys at Ravens, Giants at Niners, and Packers at Texans. We’re particularly looking forward to whether Victor Cruz bitch slaps Carlos Rogers for disrespecting the memory of his meemaw. (Yeah, it’s gotten that personal.)

RJ is cruising around the Bahamas with some models after hitting a hot streak at party bingo so Mike Ciccarone steps in for him this week on the show.
