I can't dispute the fact that Bryant and James are the two best players right now, but if you factor in everything it takes to be the most complete, the most dominant, and the best overall talent, it's not even close.

It's as easy as this:

Kobe Bryant has 3 NBA titles.

Lebron James has none.

Kobe Bryant can shoot the ball quite possibly better than anybody in the league, from any spot on the floor, with anyone guarding him, and in any fashion or style he so chooses.

Lebron James can shoot well, but he is not nearly as fluid or accurate, routinely depending on his athletic ability to get easy shots (lay-ups and dunks) to keep his percentages high and help take the focus away from the weakest part of his game.

Many fans and writers refuse to acknowledge this by saying, "he could shoot, but he doesn't have to. He takes it to the rim because no one can stop him."

Really? Then why doesn't he just do it every single time and score 100 points a game? A little unrealistic, yes, but still a valid point.

This brings me to another flaw in Lebron's game. He isn't a great free throw shooter. Kobe Bryant is considerably better.

The last skill that Bryant easily dominates Lebron in is defense. Show me footage where Lebron does what Kobe can do on a nightly basis.

Lebron is undoubtedly a special talent with out of this world athleticism and an uncanny ability to finish and get to the basket. But Kobe Bryant is just as talented in these areas, plus a better shoot (in all regards), a better defender, and a better leader.
