but a championship really lies in the hands of mr. bynum. damn can that kid play, im sure he lakers miss him just as much as his fans do.. its frustrating to have seen the lakers lose so many close games lately, ones that very well may have been wins had bynum been in the lineup.

I wouldn't put LA's championship hopes on a 20 year old kid just yet. i agree that he's a critical cog but Gasol's presence gives them an entirely different dimension that will help them in the long run.

And judging from history, Bynum started really strong last year too. But after he went down, he wasnt the same guy during the second half of the season. It remains to be seen how he'll do after he comes back from this injury.

he played extremely well tonight in his debut for the lakers.
