First of all, I wasn't as bad as I thought after listening to the show, besides for that painful 2 For the Money deal. My original point was going to be how the Pat-Charger game is the kind of no brainer pick where a high stakes gambler can lose everything, but I just... I just choked. Brutal. I couldn't help but be reminded by this clip:

But mainly, I just want to put this out there: I really think the Chargers are going to beat New England. Of course, I'm an idiot for thinking this, but I'm envisioning a game winning field goal by much maligned pressure kicker Nate Kaeding to give San Diego a 24-21 win. Overlooked recently has the transformation of Chris Chambers and Vincent Jackson into an explosive tandem. I'm banking on both having big games against the Patriots' smurf like corners... also, it warrants mentioning what a fantastic run of calls Norv had against the Colts. Remember, he was hailed as a brilliant offensive mind with the Cowboys, and the only season Alex Smith remotely resembled a NFL QB was when Turner was calling the plays. I believe in the guy... as long as he can work with EXCELLENT talent. He's not a motivator, but I think the Chargers can bleed a decent three-year run out of him. And as a final aside... let's be honest here: San Diego has absolutely, positively, nothing to lose this Sunday. Combine supreme ability with an unburdened approach... and well, you could get a miracle.

 So I'm picking a double upset, the Giants also beating the Packers 27-17, with the help of eight Brett Favre picks [ok, three... but we can dream, can't we?] I'm thinking people go into this game talking about Ryan Grant, and leave talking about Ahmad Bradshaw, who'll bleed out the fourth quarter clock with a couple of big time runs.
